摘要: An electrophoretic gel comprising at least one crosslinked temperature-responsive polymeric compound having an LCST is disclosed. A method of separating and recovering substances involves conducting the electrophoresis of a sample containing substances to be separated using the electrophoretic gel at a temperature below the LCST, excising each portion of the gel containing the substance to be separated and raising the temperature of the excised portion to a temperature above the LCST to shrink the excised portion to recover the substances.

摘要: An electrophoretic matrix comprised of at least one water-insolubilized, temperature-responsive polymeric compound having an LCST is disclosed. The electrophoretic matrix can change its hydrophilic/hydrophobic property by changing temperature. A method of using the electrophoretic matrix involves charging a sample onto the matrix and carrying out electrophoresis at a temperature above or below the LCST of the polymeric compound.

摘要: A novel silane coupling agent is proposed for the pretreatment of a glass fiber-based or mica flake-based inorganic reinforcing material prior to compounding with an epoxy resin or a polyimide resin as the matrix to give a composite material such as laminates having excellent heat resistance against molten solder alloy and resistance against heat shock. The principal ingredient of the treatment solution is a trialkoxysilylalkyl-substituted polymethylene diamine compound of the general formula (R.sup.1 O).sub.3 SiR.sup.2 NH(CH.sub.2).sub.n NHCH.sub.2 C.sub.6 H.sub.5, in which R.sup.1 is a methyl or ethyl group, R.sup.2 is a diavalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, e.g., methylene and propylene, and n is a integer of 4 to 8, or a hydrochloride thereof. This diamine compound is soluble in water, in particular, acidified with acetic acid and the aqueous solution is advantageouly stable in storage as compared with conventional silane coupling agents.

摘要: The diametrically larger end of a boot abutted on the open end of a joint unit on a vertical posture driving shaft is separated from the open end and held there while a liquid such as a grease is injected through the opening thus created. The end of the boot is then fitted over the outer periphery of said open end. A boot opening/closing device for doing so includes a vertically movable clamping member for clamping the boot at a portion adjacent the larger end, moving it away from the open end, holding it there during injection of the liquid by a movable nozzle and fitting it.

摘要: For better handling and improved riding comfort of a vehicle, there is provided a compound suspension system comprising a plurality of hydraulic shock absorbers each having a front chamber and a back chamber defined in front of and behind a piston member, respectively, received in a cylinder member, and a valve structure provided in each of the shock absorbers for selectively communicating the chambers to a conduit which is common to at least one other shock absorber, wherein: the valve structure comprises a valve element provided with a first part for varying a degree of communication between the front chamber and the common conduit and a second part for varying a degree of communication between the front chamber and the back chamber. The valve element is provided with two sets of openings which are spaced longitudinally from each other so as to cooperate with different ports provided in the piston rod as the valve element is turned about its longitudinal center by means of a control rod which extends longitudinally through a central bore of the piston rod.
