    摘要: Provided are a tripod constant velocity joint, and a method and a device for assembling the joint. The opening of a through-hole formed in an inner member of the tripod constant velocity joint has formed therein a tapered, reduced diameter section having a diameter tapered from the opening toward the inside. A first annular groove is formed in the side wall of a driving power transmission shaft, and a clip serving as an engaging member is engaged with the first annular groove. A second annular groove is formed in the inner wall of the through-hole in the inner member. In inserting the driving power transmission shaft through the through-hole in the inner member, the tapered, reduced diameter section guides the shaft in such a manner that the clip is contracted toward the bottom surface of the first annular groove. The clip expands and contracts due to the elasticity thereof when the positions of the first annular groove and the second annular groove coincide with each other.

The band clamping machine includes a diameter reduction mechanism having a clamping arm for turning down the lever and an arm driving mechanism moving the clamping arm so as to turn down the lever. The arm driving mechanism includes a first mechanism for moving the clamping arm from an initial position to a mid position, and a second mechanism for moving the clamping arm from the mid position to a final position. A fixing mechanism is provided to bend the fixing pieces inward to fix the lever at the final position between the fixing pieces.

    摘要: The piston boot is first set at the middle portion of a cylinder jig having a small diameter upper step portion and a large diameter lower step portion with the middle portion position therebetween and having radial air blow off vents. The upper step portion is then inserted into an inner circumferential face of a piston while simultaneously advancing the lower step portion toward an end face of the piston from which the inner circumferential face extends and blowing air from the blow off vents, as a result of which the piston boot is radially expanded and fitted on an outer circumference of the piston adjacent the end face. A cup form jig slidably fitted around the lower step portion is then advanced toward the piston boot and further advances the piston boot until the piston boot is fitted into a piston boot fitting portion of the piston.

    摘要: Tensioning of a band clamp about an object under electrical control is provided using a control system operably connected to a banding system. The banding system includes a number of mechanical components involved with tightening, cutting and locking the band clamp, as well as removing a tail portion thereof. The control system is operably connected to the assemblies of the banding system to automatically control at least certain operations associated with performing the functions of the apparatus. The banding system includes: a band tightening assembly including a mandrel about which the tail portion can be wrapped during the band tightening operation; a band cutting/locking assembly including a removable cutting device used in forming the lock and severing the tail portion; and a band ejection assembly used in removing the severed tail portion from the apparatus. The control system preferably includes a load cell that outputs an electrical signal related to the actual tension being applied to the band clamp during the tightening operation. The control system also includes an input/output device for receiving and outputting information related to the functions performed by the banding and control systems.

    摘要: The disclosed invention is a method and apparatus for winding a band, such as a metal band, around a flexible boot and fixing it thereto. Band clamping members are provided including right and left upper members and right and left lower members, and band guide surfaces on inner portions of the clamping members form an approximately round shape when these clamping members are closed. An inserted band is prevented from being caught along the band guide surfaces due to the structure thereof, and the band is wound around the outer circumference of the boot smoothly and reliably. After winding, welding and the cutting of the excess part of the band are carried out reliably and efficiently.

    摘要: The present invention provides a band-clamping apparatus, which is capable of automatically clamping clamping bands wound. In the apparatus, a holding table holds a member to be clamped, which has been wound by the clamping band. A stopper prevents the clamping band on the member to be clamped, which has been held by the holding table, from moving, and the stopper is capable of contacting the holding pieces from the opposite side of a lever. A pushing arm turns the lever onto an outer face of a band section. A bending mechanism inwardly bends the holding pieces so as to secure the lever onto the outer face of the band section when the lever is located between the holding pieces. With the band-clamping apparatus of the present invention, manufacturing efficiency can be sharply raised, the clamping work can be executed safely, and the clamping strength can be maintain in the predetermined range.
