    摘要: Disclosed is a nozzle assembly comprising a nozzle housing and a valve element axially slidable therewithin between a closed and an open position. The nozzle housing has a housing inlet and a housing outlet fluidly interconnected by a plurality of housing passages. The valve element has a truncated conical valve body including a conical outer surface and a concave inner surface with a plurality of valve apertures extending through the valve body. The outer surface is sealingly engagable to a valve seat formed in the housing outlet such that the flow of cooling water through the valve apertures is prevented when the valve element is in the closed position. The outer surface and valve seat collectively define an annular gap when the valve element is axially displaced to the open position such that a portion of the cooling water flowing through the annular gap may pass through the valve apertures.

    摘要: In the method for interspersing a gas flow (8) with fluid droplets (5), the fluid droplets (5) are injected in a fluid injection plane into the gas flow (8), characterised in that an auxiliary gas (6.1, 6.2) is simultaneously injected with the fluid droplets (5) into the gas flow (8). The injection speed of the auxiliary gas (6.1, 6.2) is larger than the injection speed of the fluid droplets (5) so that the injected auxiliary gas (6.1, 6.2) stabilises the injected fluid droplets (5) with respect to trajectory and size, partly shields them from the gas flow (8) and/or entrains them into the gas flow (8). By way of this one achieves an improved control of the spatial distribution of the fluid droplets (5) and their size distribution. The fluid droplets (5) penetrate the gas flow (8) more efficiently than without an auxiliary gas (6.1, 6.2). A preferred use is the online wet-cleaning of a gas turbine compressor.

    摘要: There is provided a vortex generator comprised of a diffuser, a vortex ring and a spray nozzle. The diffuser redirects a flow of superheated steam radially outwardly by forcing the superheated steam through orifices. An end plate creates a low pressure area downstream of the diffuser. The vortex ring imparts a spiraling motion to the flow of superheated steam. The spray nozzle sprays cooling water in a predetermined spray pattern into the low pressure area. The spray pattern maximizes the surface area of the cooling water within the superheated steam. The combination of the spiraling motion, the radially outwardly directed flow, and the low pressure area results in a closed vortex having a vortex core. The closed vortex is characterized as a spiraling, swirling flow of eddies and vortices downstream of the vortex generator. The closed vortex promotes the uniform mixing of the cooling water with the steam flow.

    摘要: A spray generator is provided that generates a spray of droplets by the interaction of opposed jets of fluid. The generator comprises a rigid central member defining a central axis, and fluid passageways formed in a block of material leading to two or more pairs of opposed fluid outlets. The outlets of each pair are separated from each other and arranged to generate opposed jets of fluid along an axis parallel to the central axis. Further, the pairs are equi-angularly spaced about the central axis. The outlets of each pair are maintained in axial alignment with each other and at a predetermined axial spacing from each other by a rigid connection between the central member and the block of material. The two or more pairs of outlets together generate a spray of droplets extending 360 degrees about the central axis.

The ratio of velocities of gas and water immediately downstream of the nozzle is in the range 0.5 to 2. Low water pressures may be employed in cleaning using such a spray.

The mixture carrying line is inserted into the exhaust gas system, wherein the urea-water solution is injected in the form of a cone into the exhaust gas upstream of the catalytic converter via blow-out openings embodied radially in the second section. The mixture delivery device is particularly suited for delivering a urea-water solution upstream of the catalytic converter in the exhaust gas system of a mixture compressing, spontaneously igniting internal combustion engine.
