Abstract: A powered truck bed tonneau cover includes a handle operating a clutch to engage and disengage an electric motor from the tonneau cover. The handle is operable whenever the tonneau cover is open. A Hall sensor measures the position of the cover and a user may select closed and open positions for powered operation. A drive assembly of the powered truck bed tonneau cover resides just behind the cab and urges the cover into a spiral to avoid binding.

Abstract: A spring-biased hinge includes two hinge leaves each having a retaining structure extending along an inner edge thereof, each of two ends of one or more springs received in a spring-receiving aperture of one of the retaining structures and connected to one of the hinge leaves. Abstract: Provided is a swing door operator (110) for moving a door leaf (120) between a first position and a second position. The swing door operator (110) is arranged to operate in a powered and a powerless mode and comprises a permanent magnet DC motor (310). The motor (310) is arranged to move the door leaf (120) at least from the second position to the first position in the powered mode. The swing door operator (110) further comprises a mechanical drive unit (320), arranged to move the door leaf from the first position to the second position in the powerless mode. In the powerless mode, at least one resistive device is electrically connected in parallel with the motor (310) and arranged to limit a current generated by the motor (310) in response to the movement of the door leaf (120) from the first position to the second position by means of the mechanical drive unit (320). A method for controlling the swing door operator is also provided.

Abstract: Universal rotary actuators (URAs) and door assemblies having the URAs are disclosed. In some embodiments, the URA includes a motor, a worm gear driven by the motor, a worm wheel having teeth that mesh with threads of the worm gear, a pinion gear attached to the worm wheel, drive gear rotatably connected to the pinion gear, an output shaft attached to the drive gear, and a controller assembly disposed between the drive gear and the motor, the controller selectively controlling direction and speed of the motor. In some embodiments, the URA additionally includes a quick release assembly that moves the pinion gear between an engaged position in which the pinion gear is rotatably connected to the drive gear and a disengaged position in which the pinion gear is not rotatably connected to the drive gear.

Abstract: A drive unit for driving an open-and-close body and a method for attaching the drive unit to the open-and-close body. The drive unit includes a cable, a drum, a pulley, a fix member, an elastic member, and a limiting member. The cable has a portion connected to the open-and-close body and another portion wound on the drum. The pulley is movable between a first position, where the pulley does not tension the cable, and a second position, where the pulley engages the cable and applies tension to the cable. The fix member is capable of fixing the pulley in the first position. The elastic member urges the pulley towards the second position. The limiting member is provided between the drum and the fix member, and the limiting member allows or limits rotation of the drum in accordance with the position of the pulley.

A drive motor is located within the housing and is configured to selectively move a lock assembly between a locked position preventing movement of the bolt and an unlocked position allowing movement of the bolt. A controller is in electrical communication with the drive motor and is configured to direct the actuator lock assembly between the locked position and the unlocked position. A force sensor is in electrical communication with the controller configured to measured when a force exceeds a predetermined threshold.

Abstract: The disclosed head-mounted device may include a frame, a temple, at least one cable communicatively coupled to the temple and the frame, and a hinge assembly coupling the temple to the frame. The console assembly includes a guide member, coupled to the vehicle floor, a moving portion, a gearbox assembly, a transmission assembly, and a disengaging device. The disengaging device is configured to change the operating state of the transmission assembly between the engaged state and the operating state so that the moving portion is movable while the transmission assembly is in the disengaged state.
