Abstract: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to adaptive user-controllable wireless event alert (“WEA”) presentation. According to one aspect disclosed herein, a WEA-capable device can execute a WEA application to present a user interface through which a user defines a WEA alert setting. The WEA alert setting can change how the WEA is presented to the user. The WEA-capable device can receive the WEA and can present the WEA to the user in accordance with the WEA setting. The WEA setting can be based upon a time, a type of the WEA, a sensor output, or some combination thereof.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to need-based generation of multi-modal communication aids to aid verbal communications. According to one aspect disclosed herein, a user system can receive a request for a multi-modal communication aid to be used during a communications session between the user system and an additional user system. The communications session can include live audio and/or live video. The request can be received in response to a technology issue (e.g., poor audio quality) and/or a user issue (e.g., difficulty hearing). In response to the request, the user system can receive a selection of the multi-modal communication aid. The selection can be based upon a pre-defined multi-modal communication aid or a newly-created multi-modal communication aid (e.g., user-created or artificial intelligence-created). The user system can the provide the multi-modal communication aid to the additional user system via the communications service.

Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards network slice pre-configuration for cellular communication systems, including 5G and subsequent generation cellular communication systems. Network equipment can be preconfigured to identify whether a network slice identifier included in a network communication belongs to a group of network slice identifiers. If so, the network equipment can process the network communication either according to a network slice rule that corresponds specifically to the network slice identifier, or according to a default group network slice rule for the group to which the network slice identifier belongs. Different groups of network slice identifiers can be associated with different sets of group network slice rules which can be arranged to reduce the work of setting up network slice identifiers in various network slicing scenarios.
