Abstract: A superconducting logic element includes a superconducting tunnel junction including first and second superconductors. First and second insulating ferromagnets in contact with the first and second superconductors, respectively, generate by magnetic proximity effect a predetermined density of spin-split states in the first and second superconductors, respectively. A writing element applies a writing current to at least a superconductor and is in contact with one of the first or second insulating ferromagnets, so that the first and second insulating ferromagnets commute, by the magnetic field generated by the applied writing current, between a state with parallel magnetization to a state with antiparallel magnetization with respect to each other. The superconducting tunnel junction includes the first or second superconductor between which an insulating layer is arranged with tunnel barrier function, the insulating layer selected between a layer selected from the group consisting of AlOx, AlN, and the first or second insulating ferromagnet.

Abstract: The object of the present invention is a new cryopolymerization process that provides crosslinked polymeric materials in the form of a macroporous gel (cryogel) capable of sequestering (neutralize) the anticoagulant heparin, its low molecular weight derivatives (LMWH and ULMWH) and heparinoids, from aqueous solutions, physiological solutions and biological fluids, such as whole blood, serum and plasma.
A further object of the invention are also crosslinked polymeric materials in the form of a macroporous gel (cryogel) obtained by the cryopolymerization process of the invention that, thanks to said specific process, result to be comprised of varying proportions of HEMA and HEMA-R monomers. The molar ratio between the components (HEMA/HEMA-R) may vary between 99.9% HEMA:0.1% HEMA-R and 0.1% HEMA:99.9% HEMA-R.
Object of the invention is also the use of crosslinked polymeric materials in the form of a macroporous gel (cryogel) obtainable by the cryopolymerization process of the invention for the construction of filters, membranes or devices for the treatment of biological fluids.
A further object of the invention are therefore filters, membranes, or devices for the treatment of biological fluids which comprise materials obtained by the cryopolymerization process of the invention.-

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the preparation of a product comprising one or more nanoparticles of calcium phosphate (CaP-NP) with negative surface charge having a ζ-potential in the range from −41.0 mV to −27.0 mV comprising the steps of: a) maintaining a mixture having a pH in the range from 7 to 10 and comprising an aqueous solution of calcium, an aqueous solution of phosphate and a solution of citrate ions at a temperature in the range from 20° C. to 40° C. for a time in the range from 30 seconds to 10 minutes; b) removing non-reacted ions from the solution of step a), thus obtaining a suspension of one or more nanoparticles of calcium phosphate (CaP-NP); c) recovering the product of one or more nanoparticles of calcium phosphate (CaP-NP) from the suspension of step b). In an advantageous embodiment, the process of the invention provides, in the mixture of step a), also an aqueous solution of one or more therapeutic/diagnostic compounds. The product of the invention may be used as a vehicle for one or more diagnostic/therapeutic compounds for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases through inhalation administration.
