Abstract: A computer implemented method is provided for determining optimal footprint dimensions for an elevated structure. Information is received which indicates a platform height value of the elevated structure and is stored in a platform dimension data structure. A minimum adequate elevated platform area is determined based upon equipment dimension data and equipment clearance data stored in a platform equipment data structure and elevated platform dimension options stored in the platform dimension data structure. A given elevated platform configuration is selected based upon the determined minimum adequate elevated platform area. An access structure size is determined and selected based upon the platform height value stored in the platform dimension data structure. A total footprint area of the elevated structure is determined based upon the selected elevated platform configuration and the selected access structure size. Elevated platform specifications including the total footprint area are generated.

Abstract: Various arrangement of compound cellular networks that accommodate multiple cellular communication protocols are presented. A compound cellular network may connect user equipment (UE) with a data network using a first anchor point. The compound cellular network may transition the UE from the first anchor point to a second anchor point. Following the transitioning, the compound cellular network may connect the UE with the data network using the second anchor point. The UE may then be transitioned from the second anchor point to a converged anchor point of the compound cellular network. The UE may be locked to the converged anchor point while the UE is communicating with a second cellular network that communicates using the second cellular communication protocol.

Abstract: A dynamic rate identification system receives an indication of a route for a user device and identifies one or more network sectors based on the route. The dynamic rate identification system determines a dynamic rate for each network sector based on the route, and identifies at least one hotspot that a user device is able to access while the user device travels along the route. The dynamic rate identification system causes the user device to transmit user device data when the user device is able to access the hotspot.

Abstract: A dynamic rate adjustment system receives an indication of a route and one or more network sectors that intersect with the route. The dynamic rate adjustment system determines a time period during which a user device will be located in each network sector and identifies a cost for networking services to be provided to user devices based on the time period. The dynamic rate adjustment system determines a dynamic rate for the user device to use the networking services based on the cost for networking services and causes the user device to transmit user device data based on the dynamic rate when the user device is located within a network sector associated with the dynamic rate.

Abstract: Spectrum and radio resources associated with a 5G radio unit (RU) of a host network are dynamically allocated amongst one or more guest networks. A provisioning plane receives inputs from a guest network operator that identifies desired times, locations and/or frequency bands for desired network coverage. The provisioning plane responsively identifies bandwidth allocations that meet the requested parameters for exclusive use by the guest network. User equipment (UE) associated with each guest network maintains time and frequency synchronization with the host network, but otherwise limits its communications to the frequency bands allocated to the guest network. By dynamically obtaining physical radio and spectrum resources from a host provider and by scaling backend network capabilities using cloud resources, guest networks for any number of different purposes can be quickly deployed or modified as desired.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards systems and methods for enabling a telecommunication service provider to control an underlay network in cloud service provider environment. One such method includes: dictating control of the underlay network to a telecommunication service provider in the cloud service provider environment; enabling control of a number of virtual routers to be deployed by the telecommunication service provider in the cloud service provider environment; and managing route tables for the virtual routers deployed by the telecommunication service provider in the cloud service provider environment. In some embodiments, the Virtual Private Cloud design is configured to be similar to a design of the on-prem architecture of the telecommunication service provider.

Abstract: Embodiments provide novel approaches to handling network slice groups in access stratum and non-access stratum communications in a cellular communication network. Novel slice identification schema can support group-level identification of groups of network slices without individually listing the network slices. Some embodiments implement a slice identifier that supports wildcard slice/service type (SST) options and/or wildcard slice differentiator (SD) options to support wildcard-enabled slice groups. Some embodiments enable use of such wildcard-enabled slice groups in context of unified access control. Some embodiments introduce a novel criteria type to unified access control to expressly support flexible slice grouping.

Abstract: Various cellular network arrangements for remote distributed unit (DU) updates are presented herein. A base station including a radio unit (RU) and an antenna may be present. A cloud-computing platform including a plurality of centralized units (CUs) may be present. A server system can be present, which can include a first virtual machine (VM) and a second VM installed and executing thereon. The server system can be in communication with the RU at the base station and communicatively connected via a network with the cloud computing platform. The first VM can execute a first DU software package that can configure the first VM to transmit data between the RU and a first CU. The second VM can execute a second DU software package that can configure the second VM to transmit data between the RU and a second CU. The first and second DU software packages can be different.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and automated processes for user equipment (UE) to access network slices at cell sites. An example process includes receiving a registration request from the UE. The registration request includes a list of network slices for access at network cells within range of the UE. The UE is authenticated to the network to identify subscription information of the UE. A list of slice identifications (IDs) available to the UE is transmitted to the UE. A slice-specific authentication of the UE is initiated for a slice identified as available based on the subscription information. The UE is allowed to access the slice in response to the slice-specific authentication.
