    摘要: A liquid crystal display device for displaying video data having a detection circuit for detecting a luminance distribution based on video data which is inputted, the luminance distribution being indicative of generation frequency of gradations in each of divided region which includes a plurality of gradations. The display device includes a determination circuit for determining at least one of a plurality of divided regions of higher generation frequency of gradation than that of other divided regions based on the luminance distribution, a correction circuit for correcting the video data so as to make a luminance characteristic of the at least one of the plurality of divided regions of higher generation frequency of gradation more abrupt than a luminance characteristic of the other divided regions, and a liquid crystal display panel for displaying the corrected video data. A width of the divided region is changeable.

A plurality of recording films that are independently selectable are disposed between a pair of electrodes 3 and 8. The recording films are controlled individually in terms of a threshold of voltage required for coloration and electric characteristics. A desired layer can be selected by changing the voltage applied between the pair of electrodes.

    摘要: In the past there has been a problem that on a detection surface the influence of interference causes a defocusing signal to degrade, narrowing the range in which spherical aberration can be stably detected. Accordingly, a diffraction grating is used to focus the inner and outer sides of luminous flux on separate optical detectors before the optical flux is focused on an optical detector and defocusing signals are independently calculated to find the difference therebetween, thereby providing a spherical aberration signal. This makes it possible to detect spherical aberration signals more stably.

    摘要: An information recording method in which an energy beam is irradiated to a recording medium and a basic recording pattern is generated. The basic recording pattern has a first power level provides a first state and a second power level providing a second state. Based upon a period of a recording timing generating clock in a recording mode, and a relative velocity of the energy beam and the recording medium, there is formed a first sequence of the second state and the first state based upon parameters as a first small recording pattern, a second sequence which starts with the first state and ends with the first state as a second small recording pattern, a state in which the second small recording pattern follows said the small recording pattern as the basic recording pattern, and a state in which the basic recording patterns are repeated as a recording pattern.
