Abstract: A video processing circuit which includes a video memory and is capable of arbitrarily enlarging or reducing a video signal in the vertical direction of the displayed image. A vertical sync signal in the video signal and a signal from the VCO in a PLL circuit, which is divided into 1/N by vertical sampling line value, N, are both supplied to the inputs of phase comparator of PLL circuit. A signal whose frequency is N times the frequency of vertical sync signal is then produced and this signal is utilized as a vertical address signal for the video memory.

Abstract: A stable sampling clock signal is supplied from a VCO circuit which is able to operate in a synchronous manner with an external sync signal that does not posses good phase stability while also providing an enlarged range of variable frequency output. The VCO circuit of this invention comprises an oscillation output circuit, such as NAND or NOR circuit, having one input connected to receive an external sync signal and having its output for providing the desired oscillation or sampling clock frequency. A control voltage circuit is connected to the other input of the oscillation output circuit and to the output of the oscillation output circuit. A variable capacitance means, such as a variable capacitance diode, is included in the control voltage circuit and a control voltage is connected to the variable capacitance means to vary the capacitance of said control voltage means and stabilize the phase of said oscillation frequency output regardless of instantaneous variations in the phase of said external sync signal.

Abstract: The drive control circuit for an electric motor is provided. Abstract: In an image data processing device of the invention, an image memory sequentially stores input image data of multiple frames. A write control module controls a writing operation into the image memory, and a read control module controls a reading operation from the image memory. A driving image data generation module generates the driving image data from read image data sequentially read from the image memory. The driving image data generation module generates the driving image data by replacing at least part of the read image data with regard to selected pixels with mask data. The mask data is set corresponding to a pixel value of the read image data in each of the selected pixels to be replaced with the mask data. This arrangement of the invention effectively reduces blur of a moving image displayed by the image display device, while preventing a significant decrease in luminance level of the displayed image.
