Abstract: Techniques are described herein for jointly configuring one or more parameters of a plurality of demodulation reference signals (DMRSs) across one or more data channels. A DMRS may be used to estimate one or more channel parameters for a plurality of data channels. To share a DMRS between multiple data channels it may be beneficial to jointly configure one or more parameters of the DMRSs associated with the data channel. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to determine one or more parameters of a plurality of DMRSs using a DMRS pattern configuration that indicates associations between parameters of the different DMRSs. The UE may select a configuration from the one or more configurations of the DMRS pattern configuration based on a variety of factors. For example, the UE may select a joint DMRS configuration based on whether DMRS sharing is enabled or DMRS bundling is enabled.

Abstract: The described techniques provide for mapping one or more demodulation reference signal (DMRS) patterns to one or more available channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resources. A UE receiving DMRS and CSI-RS signals may determine CSI-RS resources, or reduce its search space for identification of CSI-RS transmissions, based on a DMRS pattern for a transmission. In some cases, a base station may transmit DMRS patterns and a mapping between DMRS patterns and CSI-RS resources to a UE. CSI-RS resources may be configured semi-statically or dynamically by a base station. In some cases, one or more null DMRS patterns may be configured and mapped to CSI-RS resources, and a base station may use a null DMRS pattern for one UE to transmit a DMRS to a different UE, and both UEs may measure channel state information based on an associated CSI-RS transmitted in mapped CSI-RS resources.

Abstract: In some wireless systems (e.g., 5G new radio (NR) systems), a user equipment (UE) may experience coexistence interference when using collocated radio transceivers to simultaneously communicate using different radio access technologies (RATs). To mitigate the coexistence interference, the UE may transmit a configuration request to a base station, where the configuration request may identify that the UE is operating on multiple RATs, identify that the UE is experiencing coexistence interference, or request specific reference signal settings or resources. The base station may modify reference signal transmissions and settings based on the configuration request. For example, the base station may transmit more frequent channel state information reference signals (CSIRS) to the UE, and the UE may report channel state information (CSI) more frequently in response. In other cases, the base station may modify a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) pattern, CSIRS resources, or CSI reporting settings based on the configuration request.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure describe an indication channel for wireless communications that indicates whether an ultra-reliable low-latency communication (URLLC) transmission is present in a current mini-slot within an enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB) slot. A base station may determine that an indication message is to be transmitted within the eMBB slot. The indication message may indicate that at least a portion of the mini-slot of the eMBB slot is used for the URLLC transmission. The base station may allocate one or more resources to an indication channel in a same mini-slot as the portion of the mini-slot to be used for the URLLC transmission. The base station may transmit the indication message during the mini-slot on the indication channel using the allocated one or more resources. A UE may receive the indication channel and process at least the portion of the mini-slot based on whether the indication message is received.
