The belt conveyor mechanism 18 has three conveyor belts 81 mounted on a belt drive roller 82a and guide rollers 82b to 82d. The conveyor belt 81 curves in a C-shape when seen from outside the belt path where the conveyor belt 81 travels around a guide roller 82c. Another guide roller 82d is positioned outside of the belt path, and contacts the surface (conveyance surface) of the conveyor belt 81 curved in the C-shape. An encoder 84 and inertia member 85A are attached to the rotational shaft 82e of the guide roller 82d. Another inertia member 85B is attached to the output shaft 83a of the conveyor motor 83.

    摘要: To prevent disalignment of the edges of a folded sheet by smoothly feeding the sheet to a packaging unit while keeping tension fluctuations to a minimum when the sheet is unwound from a paper roll set in a paper feed unit even though the paper roll diameter decreases gradually as the sheet is unwound. A sheet length measuring sensor or rotary encoder is provided in the paper feed path through which the packaging sheet is fed toward the packaging unit. An angle sensor is provided which includes Hall element sensors provided on a support shaft and magnets provided on a core pipe of the paper roll. Any change in the signals from one of these sensors relative to the signal from the other sensor is used to calculate the paper roll winding length, and the sheet tension is adjusted to an optimum, constant level by controlling the sheet braking force stepwise according to the roll diameter measured by the sensors.

When the movable member 27 is in the tension-side error determination range E1, the time the movable member 27 remains in the tension-side error determination range E1 is counted, and if this measured time exceeds an error determination time, an error detection unit 38 detects an error. No-paper errors can therefore be detected without using a dedicated sensor.

When the control section detects the occurrence of the electric-current saturation phenomenon, the control section performs correction of the predetermined control sequence including correction in which a target transporting velocity of the sheet is lowered from a predetermined value determined in the predetermined control sequence, and controls the motor in accordance with the corrected control sequence to make the transporting mechanism transport the sheet so that the sheet is stopped at the target position.
