    Abstract: The invention relates to a hinge comprising a moveable hinge section and a hinge section consisting of a fixed stop section, which are interconnected by at least one joint axis, and comprising a damping device mounted on one of the hinge sections whose translationally or rotatably moveable damping member is acted upon at least in the closure region of the hinge via gear means from the other hinge section. According to the invention for adjustment of the moveable damping member depending on the tilt of the moveable hinge section relative to the at least one joint axis, there is provided at least three moveable gear members are provided, of which one is the damping member itself.

    Abstract: A hinge assembly for an appliance includes a claw and a channel pivotably connected to the claw. A link assembly is operably connected between the claw and the channel. The link assembly includes a link connected to the claw and a lever connected to the link. A glide member is connected to the lever and movably engaged with said channel. The glide member is slidably movable between first and second operative positions in response to movement of the channel relative to the claw between first and second positions, respectively.     Abstract: A sliding door (B) that is operated with a door drive is moved with the aid of a lever arm (A) that is driven by a motor (M) via a gear. The end positions of the door, as well as two intermediate positions, are detected with mechanical switches (C) that are actuated by a cam disk (K). The mechanical switches (C) form a redundant safety system and, if necessary, can be omitted. A non-contacting sensor (S) is used independent of the mechanical switches (C). For the purpose of detecting the position, the sensor can fully replace the mechanical switches (C) and the cam disk (K) for actuating these switches. With the aid of a transmitting wheel (D) and the sensor (S), it is possible to draw a conclusion relating to the rotational speed as well as the door position. A central data processing unit (CPU) permits the control and adjustment of the door drive. A diagnostic evaluation of the door drive with respect to required maintenance operations is furthermore possible with the central data processing unit (CPU).

    Abstract: A movement assistance and stowage device for a spa cover that is movable relative to a spa opening from a first position at least partially occluding the spa opening, to a second position removed from the spa opening and stowed adjacent the spa body and, when stowed, the spa cover is not substantially above an upper peripheral edge of the spa body, the movement assistance and stowage device providing a mounting body secured to a side portion of the spa body and carrying a pivoting lever arm and a pivoting control lever arm, and both pivoting arms are connected to, and extend between, the mounting body and a channel bracket on a lateral peripheral edge of the spa cover, and pneumatic cylinders extend between the mounting body and lever arm to provide mechanical advantage and control to movement and stowage of the spa cover.

    Abstract: A drive device for a vehicle flap, includes a flap part assigned to a vehicle flap, a body part assigned to a vehicle body, a joint arrangement connecting the flap part and the body part in an articulated manner, a first actuator coupled to the joint arrangement for opening and closing the vehicle flap during conventional operation, a second actuator coupled to the joint arrangement for lifting the vehicle flap into a pedestrian protection position, a coupling device for coupling the first actuator and the second actuator, wherein the coupling device comprises a first lever and a second lever, wherein the first lever is assigned to the first actuator, and wherein the second lever is assigned to the second actuator. A reliable and compact drive device is provided in that during conventional operation, the first lever and the second lever are connected to one another in a rotationally fixed manner via a mechanical securing element.
