摘要: The present invention provides an energy absorber for a blast barrier system comprising a substantially tubular member extending longitudinally along an axis from a first end portion to a second end portion, each of the first end portion and the second end portion having a substantially similar geometric, profile, wherein the energy absorber collapses under a predetermined load when compressed by a residual blast force. The energy absorber of the present invention may help minimize damage to people and structures by further dissipating force from a blast in a blast barrier system.

摘要: An apparatus and method for a composite structural aircraft transmission support link having an integral energy-absorbing feature is disclosed. The link is a two-force member that can carry structural loads up an ultimate load. When loaded beyond ultimate load the design allows sections of the link to fail in a controlled and progressive manner, so that energy is absorbed over a defined stroking distance.

摘要: An example apparatus includes (i) a mounting module configured to be coupled to a support frame of a vehicle, (ii) a component-support module configured to support a component of the vehicle, and (iii) a motion-guiding module coupled to the component-support module and the mounting module. The motion-guiding module is configured to guide motion of the component-support module toward the mounting module. The apparatus further includes (iv) a deformable tab coupled to the motion-guiding module. The deformable tab is configured to (a) in response to the deformable tab absorbing a force that is less than a predetermined level, resist motion of the component-support module toward the mounting module and (b) in response to the deformable tab absorbing a force that is greater than the predetermined level, deform to a position that allows the component-support module to move toward the mounting module in response to force applied to the component-support module.

摘要: An impact diverting mechanism having a top layer and a bottom layer is provided. The two layers are connected such that the top layer is configured to move in relation to the bottom layer when impacted, and therefore is able to divert impact and reduce rotational and linear acceleration on the bottom layer. The impact diverting mechanism may be attached to, or configured to attach to, an object in need of protection, such as a helmet.

摘要: An energy absorbing device for a steering column assembly includes a first end configured to couple to a first component of the steering column assembly and a second end configured to couple to a second component of the steering column. An intermediate portion extends between the first end and the second end. The intermediate portion includes a curved portion having a radius and a leg portion extending between the curved portion and the second end. The leg portion includes a plurality of localized surface features to tune a collapse characteristic of the energy absorbing device and to facilitate maintaining the radius constant when a force moves the first end relative to the second end and deforms the energy absorbing device.

摘要: An anti-vibration clamp for holding pipes includes a pipe holding component which further includes pipe holders for locking the pipes; a clamp body including a stud locking portion for locking to a stud, and a floating attachment portion for holding the pipe holding component; and an elastic connecting component made of soft resin placed between the pipe holding component and the clamp body so that the pipe holding component and the clamp body do not contact one another directly. The pipe holding component, the elastic connecting component and the clamp body are held so that it is difficult for them to each slip mutually.
