    摘要: An elevator installation includes an elevator cage with a support construction carrying the elevator cage, wherein the support construction has two beams. Mounted on each beam is a positioning arrangement on which, for example, a sensor is positioned, which is part of a load measuring device, wherein the positioning arrangements have material structures or sensor carriers. The sensors detect a change in spacing of the material structures or of the sensor carriers from one another, wherein this change in spacing is caused by a change in loading of the elevator cage. Signals of the sensors are processed in an evaluating unit and a signal representing the loading is used in an elevator control.

    摘要: It is an object of the invention to provide an agitation method for sufficiently agitating a mixture of a solution such as a buffer solution and a material to be detected, with no need of any dedicated unit for agitation, for measurements using a quartz crystal oscillator. The method for agitating a liquefied material using a quartz crystal oscillator in vibrating the quartz crystal oscillator at a given frequency and measuring the variation of the frequency due to a substance in contact with the quartz crystal oscillator, is that the quartz crystal oscillator is vibrated at other frequency different from the given frequency and equal to or higher than the fundamental vibration frequency to agitate a liquid containing the substance.

    摘要: In a sensing instrument using a quartz sensor on whose front surface an adsorption layer for adsorbing a substance to be sensed is formed and which changes in natural frequency by the adsorption of the substance to be sensed, the present invention has an object to quickly detect a trouble of the quartz sensor to prevent an operator from recognizing an incorrect measurement result. In the present invention, a level detecting circuit detecting a signal level of an oscillation output of an oscillator circuit is provided, and after the time for stabilization passes after the power-on time, a computer takes a level detection value therein to compare the signal level and a threshold value. Then, when the signal level is lower than the threshold value, the signal level is determined as abnormal and, for example, the abnormality notification is displayed on a display unit, whereby an operator is notified of the occurrence of the abnormality.

At least one piezoelectric element is arranged on at least a portion of a surface of the sensing plate. The sensing plate and sensor substrate are arranged in one of a substantially parallel planar or coplanar relationship with respect to one another, and the connection plate, diaphragm, sensing plate and piezoelectric element define a resonance portion.

    摘要: A mass determination device includes a combination of an elastic element connected with a mass holder. The combination has a normalized temperature coefficient of frequency substantially equal to zero over a temperature range of intended use for the mass determination device, whereby mass determination accuracy of the device during temperature change in the range is enhanced. The elastic element has a first normalized temperature coefficient of frequency over the temperature range. A second normalized temperature coefficient of frequency over the temperature range attributable to the mass holder is determined. The first normalized temperature coefficient and the second normalized temperature coefficient are substantially counterbalanced over the temperature range, for example, through material selection and/or heat treatment of the elastic element and/or material or geometry variation of the mass holder.

    摘要: A weighing apparatus includes a base supporting a cantilevered elastic member bearing a load platform. The interior of the elastic member is hollowed and is provided with first and second piezoelectric transducers mounted on respective opposed posts. The transducers are arranged substantially parallel to each other with a small gap between them and are coupled to an amplifier to form a "delay line" and a positive feedback loop, i.e. a natural oscillator. According to various aspects of the invention, one or both substrates is provided with anti-reflection structure; the transducers are arranged on overlapping substrates to further reduce reflection; the transducers are coupled to a thermal sink to reduce the effects of thermal gradients across the transducers; two pairs of transducers are provided and arranged to provide a pair of oppositely polarized signals which doubles the accuracy of measurements and also compensates for the effects of temperature gradients; a thermal transducer channel is provided on the same substrate to measure the effects of temperature gradients and thereby compensate for temperature effects; a pair of differential transducers is arranged to measure the effects of temperature changes in the same acoustic channel in which displacement measurements are made; and a phase shift is applied to the output of the amplifier(s) to improve gain.

    摘要: A method for measuring the masses of objects in any gravity environment, including microgravity or zero gravity. An object is placed on or attached to a platform that is movable back and forth along a single axis of motion. An actuator is used to oscillate the platform and is controlled to provide a variable spring force. Instantaneous displacement values are obtained and used to calculate the period of oscillation. Values representing the period, the tare mass of the platform, and the spring constant are then used to calculate the mass of the object. The method may use active damping, and may be varied so that the oscillations are angular rather than linear.
