Abstract:
A method for automatically landing a container on a landing target using a container crane is disclosed. The container crane includes a trolley and spreader for holding and lifting the container and a crane control system for controlling movements of the container crane. A distance from the container to the landing target is measured and the container is moved towards the landing target dependent on the measured distance. A plurality of images of the landing target is made using at least one camera mounted on the spreader. The images are processed to identify one or more landing features in the images of the landing target. Distances from the container to the landing target are calculated based on a measurement of distance between the container and the landing features in the images. A video control unit, a system for controlling automatic landings of a container, a computer readable data carrier comprising a computer program and a computer program product arranged for carrying out the methods are also described.

One exemplary embodiment is a datacenter power supply system comprising an AC power bus structured to selectably receive AC power from an AC power grid and a AC generator and structured to provide AC power to one or more AC datacenter loads and an AC/DC converter, a DC power generation system structured to provide DC power to a DC/DC converter, a DC power bus structured to selectably receive power from the AC/DC converter and the DC/DC converter and to provide DC power to a plurality of DC datacenter loads, and an electronic control system structured to selectably control the datacenter power supply system to operate in plurality of modes.

Systems, apparatus, and methods are disclosed for managing and forecasting energy usage. A distributed forecast device is located remote from a central server. The distributed forecast device receives from the central server information related to one or more accounts associated with the distributed forecast device. The distributed forecast device receives energy usage data from one or more energy meters for each of the accounts. The distributed forecast device predicts an energy usage forecast for each of the accounts based on the energy usage data and the information from the central server.
Abstract:
A switchgear enclosure has a case with a front face that surrounds an opening in the case. A flange extends from the front face and has a first surface adjacent to the opening and a second, opposing surface. At least the second surface is disposed transversely with respect to the front face. A door has a door bracket. A gasket is coupled the door bracket and forms an endless loop sized larger than a size of the opening in the case. The gasket has a seal portion. When the door is closed, the seal portion compresses against the second surface of the flange to provide a seal around the opening, and in the event of an arc in the case causing pressure to be exerted on the door, the gasket moves with the door, with the seal portion sliding along the second surface, maintaining the seal around the opening.

Technologies for providing DC arc protection in a DC socket include an electromagnet positioned in the DC socket configured to produce a magnetic field. The electromagnet is positioned to be adjacent to a contact region between one or more supply terminals of a DC socket and one or more prongs of a DC plug. As the DC plug is disconnected from the DC socket, a DC arc might form between one or more of the supply terminals and one or more of the prongs. The magnetic field produced by the electromagnet reduces the energy of the DC arc and reduces the time duration of the DC arc.

A circuit breaking arrangement is disclosed, which is adapted to be coupled to a transmission line arranged to carry direct current for controllably effecting discontinuation of flow of direct current in the transmission line. The circuit breaking arrangement includes a current interrupter unit adapted to, when actuated, interrupt current in the transmission line and a first resonance circuit and at least a second resonance circuit. Each of the first and the at least a second resonance circuit is adapted to, upon actuation of the current interrupter unit and when the respective resonance circuit is activated, generate a resonance current superposing current of any arc generated in the current interrupter unit after actuation thereof. At least during a predefined period immediately after actuation of the current interrupter unit a resonance current that has been generated by the first resonance circuit flows into the current interrupter unit from a different direction than a resonance current generated by the second resonance circuit would have, or vice versa.

A short-circuiting arrangement for capacitors of a high voltage converter are provided, the capacitors each having two connection terminals, the arrangement including a short-circuiting wire configured to be moved along while in sliding contact with the connection terminals and including a short-circuiting section with electrically conductive material connected to a ground potential and a probing section with electrically conductive material and a voltage evaluating unit electrically connected to the short-circuit section and the probing section and configured to detect, as the probing section and short-circuiting section are connected to the respective connection terminals, the voltage across the capacitor, compare the voltage with a discharge threshold and halt or move the short-circuiting wire based on the detected voltage.
