    Abstract: An example system includes a first plurality of nacelles located on a first side of an aircraft, wherein each nacelle of the first plurality of nacelles includes an electric motor coupled to a propulsor, wherein an outboard nacelle of the first plurality of nacelles includes an electrical energy storage system (ESS) coupled to a first electrical bus; and a second plurality of nacelles located on a second side of the aircraft, wherein each nacelle of the second plurality of nacelles includes an electric motor coupled to a propulsor, wherein an outboard nacelle of the second plurality of nacelles includes an ESS coupled to a second electrical bus.

    Abstract: A gearbox is provided for use in a gas turbine engine. The gearbox includes a plurality of gears, a casing surrounding the plurality of gears, and a lubricant re-circulation system. The casing defines a sump positioned beneath the plurality of gears to retain lubricant. The lubricant re-circulation system includes a re-circulation pump, a re-circulation inlet positioned within the sump, and a re-circulation outlet positioned to supply lubricant to the plurality of gears.

    Abstract: A system and method for efficiently measuring the fluid level in a container having a non-uniform cross sectional area is described. The measuring device may be immersed in the fluid and have a float slidable along a structure having the capability to sense an aspect of the location of the float. Since the accuracy requirements in measuring the fluid level may be more important for the higher levels and the lower levels than the intermediate quantities, the sensor may likewise be configured to provide more accurate measurements near the upper and lower fill levels. The position of a float may be determined by capacitive optical or magnetic sensing techniques and the sensed position translated into engineering units for output by a calibration table.
