Early termination scheme for blind decoding of a downlink control channel

    Abstract: An early termination system for blind decoding is provided to decrease the computational resources utilized when decoding the physical resources, and decrease the time spent decoding. A blind decoding priority list can be used by the mobile device to preferentially decode specific physical resource elements as it specifies the order of all the candidate physical downlink control channels (PDCCHs). When the physical resource elements are decoded, if there is no more downlink control information in that transmission time interval, the downlink control information can include a termination bit, and the mobile device, upon identifying the termination bit can cease blind decoding of the remainder candidates. In this way, the blind decoding process more quickly identifies the downlink control information, and subsequent blind decoding is halted.

    Abstract: A radio resource measurement (RRM) and timing configuration (TC) framework can facilitate efficient configuration of RRM measurements in wireless communications systems with variable carrier and transmission bandwidths. The RMTC can comprise a list of synchronization signal (SS) block measurement and timing configurations (SMTCs) and a list of channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) measurement and timing configurations (CMTCs). A framework is proposed to allow for efficient signaling of measurement configurations in cellular wireless communications systems with overlapping carriers of varying bandwidths comprising carriers without synchronization signals as well as bandwidth parts covering parts of the spectrum of a carrier.

    Abstract: A method may include a processing system of a channel sounding receiver having a processor detecting a synchronization signal within a time and frequency resource grid of a base station and measuring a channel property at a first location based upon the synchronization signal that is received at the first location. The method may further include the processing system receiving at a second location, from the base station, the synchronization signal, measuring a channel property at the second location based upon the synchronization signal that is received at the second location, and selecting between the first location and the second location for a deployment of a customer premises equipment based upon the channel property at the first location and the channel property at the second location.

    Abstract: The disclosed subject matter provides techniques for detecting and correcting radio link failures based on the different usage scenarios. In one embodiment, a device is provided that comprises a processor, and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of various operations. These operations can comprise monitoring a quality of a radio link established between the device and a network device of a wireless communication network based on downlink transmissions received from the network device. These operations can further comprise determining whether the quality indicates the device and the network device are out-of-sync based on the quality being below a defined quality level, wherein the defined quality level varies based on a usage scenario associated with usage of the radio link by the device.
