摘要： The digital signal recording/reproducing apparatus inputs a digital signal having a control flag as to a temporary copy permission, and records the digital signal temporarily into a recording medium in accordance with conditions in the control flag, then reproducing the digital signal temporarily from the recording medium in accordance with the conditions in the control flag. The recording/reproducing of the temporary copy is permitted, depending on the following conditions: The recording medium's type, the reproducing point-in-time, the reproducing time-period, and the reproducing frequency. With this method employed, even in a program permitting no recording, the temporary recording/reproducing is permitted under a condition of being limited to the time-shift recording on the receiving side.

摘要： A digital signal recording apparatus is disclosed, which is capable of protecting the copyright of the analog input information encoded into a first digital signal in a recording medium. A second digital signal encrypted based on the key information and the input analog signal encrypted based on the key information are converted into a second digital signal and encrypted, and the resulting signal is selectively recorded in a recording medium. The digital signal recording apparatus further comprises a circuit for encrypting the digital signal converted from the input analog signal with a key obtained by a predetermined calculation of the key information according to a scheme similar to the second digital signal protection scheme through a digital interface, and a signal recording circuit for recording the key information and the encrypted digital signal in a recording medium.

摘要： A method and apparatus is provided for receiving and/or reproducing a digital signal, capable of efficiently recording a compressed, packeted digital signal and inhibiting a copy thereof. An input packet signal is added with a time stamp indicating a relative time of an arrival of the packet, and the packet signals of digital information with the added time stamps are recorded at reduced intervals therebetween. In reproducing, a packet interval adjusting circuit restores the original packet intervals in accordance with the time stamps, and then a time stamp change circuit changes at least one bit of the time stamp and thereafter outputs the digital information.

摘要： A digital information recording-reproducing apparatus is disclosed, in which a signal temporally compressed to 1/n and transmitted is encoded for recording by a recording encoder. The rotation speed of a rotary drum is set at R.sub.1, and the running speed of a magnetic tape at V.sub.1. The signal encoded is recorded on the magnetic tape by magnetic heads. At the time of reproduction, the rotary drum is driven at a speed m/n times faster than for recording, and the magnetic tape is run at a speed 1/n times faster than for recording. The signal reproduced by the magnetic heads is decoded and restored into the original digital information signal by a reproducing decoder. As a result, there is provided a recording-reproducing apparatus having the function of time-base expansion with a reduced recording time applied to a system for transmitting and recording the software information of video or the like through radio wave or cable.
