摘要: There are described novel porphyrin derivatives of the general formula ##STR1## wherein either R.sup.1 signifies the group ##STR2## and R.sup.2 signifies the group ##STR3## or R.sup.1 signifies the group ##STR4## and R.sup.2 signifies the group ##STR5## whereby X.sup.- signifies a halogen ion, an arylsulphonate ion, an alkylsulphonate ion or an alkyl sulphate ion, A signifies (C.sub.1-8)-alkylene and R.sup.3 signifies (C.sub.1-4)-alkyl,and sulphonic acid salts of compounds of formula I in which R.sup.1 signifies the group ##STR6## as well as a process for their manufacture and intermediates used in this process.Because of their water-solubility the novel porphyrin derivatives are suitable as label molecules for highly sensitive fluorescence immuno-assays, especially for time-resolving fluorescence immuno-assays. The coupling of the novel porphyrin derivatives to immunologically-active materials is carried out in the customary manner, for example with a water-soluble carbodiimide derivative.

摘要: An x-ray diagnostic system having an image intensifier television chain includes sensors for respectively monitoring the presence of x-radiation from an x-ray tube, the presence of light at the output of an x-ray image intensifier, and the presence of a video signal corresponding to the x-ray image. Each sensor supplies an electronic signal to a safety circuit which is connected to the high voltage generator for the x-ray tube. If, after the presence of x-radiation is detected, no light and/or no video signal is detected, the safety circuit automatically disconnects the x-ray tube from the high voltage generator.

摘要: The invention is concerned with particles consisting of a compound of an active material and foamed plastic, the mean density of the particles being adjustable to the special value of a foregiven fluid such that they can float in the fluid. Particles of this kind can be used (as "tracer" particles) for disturbance-free visualization of fluid flows and for suspending active materials of higher density than that of the fluid homogeneously in the fluid volume.Concerning the first usage, the flow pattern of a flowing aqueous fluid is visualized by spacedly suspending in the fluid approximately spherical particles of a foamed plastic labeled with zinc sulfide phosphor and having a diameter smaller than 0.5 millimeters and by exciting the phosphor with pulses from a UV laser. Successive frames taken by an electronic camera from an electronically intensified image of the liquid permit the direction and velocity of particle movement to be monitored as a measure of the flow pattern of the fluid which is not affected by the presence of the particles.
