摘要: A top-emitting display unit is fabricated by the following steps: A lower electrode is formed on a substrate. An organic layer including a luminescent sublayer is formed on the lower electrode. Furthermore, an upper electrode containing lithium is formed by a sputtering process into a thickness of 7 nm to 21 nm. The upper electrode functions as a cathode. The lithium content in the upper electrode is in the range of 0.3 to 1.9 percent by weight. In the sputtering process, the upper electrode is preferably formed at a deposition rate of 50 nm/min or less.

摘要: An organic electroluminescence device having an anode structure on the lower surface which is effective for taking out light efficiently from the cathode on the upper surface in which the organic electroluminescence device comprises an anode, a cathode and an organic layer put between both of them. The organic layer contains an organic light emitting layer that emits light by re-combination of holes supplied from the cathode A and electrons supplied from the cathode. The cathode comprises a laminate structure of an electron injecting metal layer, and a transparent conductive layer ultra thin film which is basically light permeable. The anode contains a metal belonging to the group V or group VI of the periodical table to at least a portion in contact with the organic layer and is basically light reflective. The anode metal is selected from chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, tantalum and niobium. The anode metal has a work function of 4.8 eV or lower.

摘要: A light-emitting device of a top-emission type maintains a stable emission efficiency without leakage current consists of a substrate (1), a lower electrode (4), an organic layer (6) which includes at least an emission layer (6c), and a transparent upper electrode (7) provided on the organic layer (6), which are sequentially formed on top of the other. The lower electrode (4) has a double-layer structure composed of a metallic layer (2c) and a buffering thin film (3c) formed thereon. The buffering thin film (3c) is formed from either an oxide of the metallic material constituting the metallic layer (2c), the oxide having a higher conductivity than the organic layer (6), or an oxide of chromium. The thus-formed buffering thin film (3c) reduces the surface roughness of the metallic layer (2c) in the lower electrode (4) of double-layer structure. The reduced surface roughness provides a uniform space between the lower electrode (4) and the transparent upper electrode (7).

摘要: The present invention provides a method for formation of a pattern of a photosensitive resin composition, which method is superior in sensitivity and film-thinning ratio, generates no scum in pattern formation, and gives a high resolution. That is, the present invention lies in a method for forming a pattern of a photosensitive resin composition, which comprises coating, on a substrate or the like, a positive photosensitive resin composition composed of a polyamide of particular structure and a diazoquinone compound, subjecting the resulting material to prebaking and then to light exposure, and dissolving and removing the exposed portions of the material with an aqueous alkaline solution containing an anionic surfactant and at least one kind of compound selected from compounds of calcium, strontium and barium, to obtain a pattern. The feature of the present invention lies particularly in using such an aqueous alkaline solution as a developing solution.

摘要: The present invention provides a method of manufacturing an organic EL display capable of decreasing the resistance of scanning-side electrodes, and improving the efficiency of utilization of light emitted in organic layers. In the manufacturing method, stripe first electrodes made of a transparent conductive material are formed in parallel on a transparent substrate, and then an insulation layer is formed on the transparent substrate with the apertures formed above the first electrodes. An organic film 24 composed of a film of an organic luminescent material, a second electrode material film and a protecting film is laminated in this order on the transparent substrate to cover the insulation layer, and then independent island resist patterns are formed on the protecting film. Then, a laminated film composed of the organic film, the second electrode material film and the protecting film is etched using the resist patterns as a mask to pattern independent island laminations each composed of an organic layer, a second electrode, and a protecting layer.

摘要: Methotrexate, which is a known anticancer agent, can be converted into a polymeric conjugate with a pyran copolymer, which in itself has a certain anticancer effect, by a method in which an alkylene diamine is reacted with the carboxyl group of the methotrexate molecule to give an amidation product having a free amino group in a molecule, which is then reacted with the carboxyl group of the pyran copolymer, of which at least 10% of the repeating units have been modified with the methotrexate residue. The polymeric conjugate has sustained releasability of the methotrexate compound in blood serum so that an excellent therapeutic effect can be obtained by the administration thereof against cancers with little problems due to the side effects caused by an unduly high concentration of the drug in blood unavoidable when methotrexate as such is administrated.
