Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a serving cell, first signaling that includes one or more time division duplexing (TDD) patterns associated with a neighboring cell. The UE may receive second signaling that includes a slot format indicator (SFI) associated with the neighboring cell. The UE may determine a slot configuration allocating transmission time intervals (TTIs) in the neighboring cell to one or more of downlink communication or uplink communication based at least in part on the one or more TDD patterns associated with the neighboring cell and the SFI associated with the neighboring cell. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to uplink preemption in certain systems, such as new radio (NR) systems, supporting carrier aggregation (CA) and/or multi-connectivity modes. A method for wireless communication, that can be performed by a user equipment (UE), generally includes receiving a resource assignment scheduling the UE for uplink transmission. The UE receives an indication to preempt uplink transmission on a portion of the assigned resources and determines whether to transmit on the remaining assigned resources. A method that can be performed by a base station (BS) generally includes receiving an indication from one or more UEs indicating, for each of a plurality of band combinations, a capability of the UE to transmit on a band when transmission on another band in the band combination is preempted and scheduling the one or more UEs for uplink transmission based on the indication.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support demodulation reference signal (DMRS) multiplexing scheme selection for uplink transmission. A user equipment (UE) may monitor for a parameter from a base station indicating which DMRS scheme to use. In some cases, the base station may transmit a radio resource control (RRC) parameter indicating a first DMRS scheme to the UE. The UE may select the first DMRS scheme based on receiving the RRC parameter from the base station or based on a default DMRS scheme. The UE may transmit a transmission based on the first DMRS scheme.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a wireless network device (e.g., a base station or a transmission reception point (TRP) of the base station), a first control message comprising an indication of a set of energy saving modes of the wireless network device. The UE may receive a second control message indicating a first energy saving mode from the set of energy saving modes, where the first energy saving mode may be indicative of a number of channel state information (CSI) reference signal (CSI-RS) resources used by the wireless network device. The UE may monitor one or more of the CSI-RS resources for a CSI-RS in accordance with the first energy saving mode, and transmit, to the wireless network device, CSI feedback determined based on measurements made by the UE of the CSI-RS.

According to one or more aspects, a device, such as a user equipment (UE), may receive downlink control information, and may determine assignment information for processing batch-based feedback based on the downlink control information. The UE may determine the batch-based feedback for a batch of downlink transmissions (for example, transmissions associated with packets of information) that are configured to be processed together by the UE. The UE may receive a downlink transmission from the base station, and may construct a codebook based on assignment information and the downlink transmission. In some examples, the UE may determine acknowledgment feedback for the downlink transmission based on the codebook. The UE may transmit the acknowledgment feedback to the base station.

Abstract: Mechanisms for reduction of channel state information (CSI) feedback overhead are disclosed for full dimensional multiple input, multiple output (FD-MIMO) systems with large dimension antenna ports. In one aspect, rank-dependent CSI antenna port measurements are used in order to limit the number of antenna ports for high rank CSI reporting. Another aspect allows a user equipment (UE) to select subband feedback for aperiodic CSI porting on an uplink shared channel when the UE is to report subband quality and precoding indicators. Another aspect provides for on-demand CSI feedback that dynamically configures CSI feedback parameters. To reduce the signaling overhead, the multiple parameter sets may be pre-configured with different values for dynamic reporting parameters.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Data may be received during transmission time intervals (TTIs) that have a short duration relative to other TTIs. The short-duration TTIs may occur within or overlap a longer duration TTI, such as a subframe. Feedback responsive to the data may be generated and assigned for transmission during an uplink TTI according to a feedback timing or delay, which may be selected to reduce latency or balance the payload size of uplink messages sent during the assigned uplink TTI. Data and feedback assignments in short-duration TTIs may be configured based on a time division duplexing (TDD) configuration for some TTIs (e.g., subframes). TTIs that are a Long Term Evolution (LTE) subframe, an LTE slot, and a duration of two LTE symbol periods may be supported. Portions of special TTIs may be used for transmissions according to shorter-duration TTIs.
