Abstract: The present invention relates to various compounds capable of temporarily hardening soft tissue for surgical suturing of the soft tissue. The compounds according to the present invention can temporarily increase the hardness or tension of soft tissue, thereby improving the suturing efficiency during suturing of the soft tissue, thereby preventing aftereffects or the like from occurring due to insufficient anastomosis. In addition, the compounds according to the present invention can temporarily increase the hardness or tension of soft tissue, particularly pancreas, thereby increasing the suturing efficiency during pancreaticoduodenectomy and effectively preventing pancreatic leakage.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising an agent inhibiting gene expression or protein activity of osteopontin as an active ingredient for preventing or treating neurodegenerative disease. According to the present invention, there is an effect of suppressing amyloid beta (Aβ)-induced neuronal cell death by downregulating the expression or activity of osteopontin. In addition, an inhibitor against the expression or activity of osteopontin decreases a level of pro-inflammatory proteins and conversely, increases a level of anti-inflammatory proteins. Therefore, it is expected that the present invention can be advantageously used as a therapeutic agent for various neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer's disease.

Abstract: Provided is a novel compound and use thereof which has an excellent immunological regulation ability while not exhibiting toxicity in vivo, and has no nephrotoxicity and rather has a kidney protective effect, and thus can be used for the treatment of immune diseases such as autoimmune diseases caused by abnormal regulation of various immune responses, inflammatory diseases, and transplant rejection diseases. A transplant rejection avatar animal model was confirmed to be humanized, by confirming an increase in serum creatinine, an indicator of transplant rejection in a patient, an increase in human CD4-positive cells, and infiltration of inflammatory cytokine IL-17 into kidney tissue of the animal model. It was confirmed that, when an immunosuppressant is administered, the increased serum creatinine, human CD4-positive cells, and the infiltration of inflammatory cytokine IL-17 are reduced, and thus an animal model, in which the immune status of a patient is reflected, is effectively constructed.
