摘要: An apparatus includes means for transmitting a packet, through one of a plurality of pseudo wires, from a PW ingress node thereof to a PW egress node thereof. Each of the plurality of pseudo wires is a communication path for transmitting a packet between a pair of end nodes included in three or more nodes communicably connected via a tunnel in a packet switched network. The PW ingress node is one of the pair of end nodes from which the packet comes into the one of the plurality of pseudo wires, and the PW egress node is the other one of the pair of end nodes from which the packet goes out thereof. The apparatus further includes means for extracting a packet transmitted through the one of the plurality of pseudo wires from among packets being transmitted through the tunnel.

摘要: A writing control system includes a display holding medium, a reading unit, an identifying unit, a control unit and a writing unit. The display holding medium includes a display section capable of displaying and holding an image in a no-power state and a storage section having a storage area for storing information that identifies an electronic document associated with it. The reading unit reads the information from the storage section when the display holding medium is located in a predetermined position. The identifying unit identifies the electronic document associated with the display holding medium, based on the information read from the display holding medium. When the electronic document associated with the display holding medium is not identified, the control unit performs control so that a page image, which has not been written, of an electronic document, which is used in last image writing, is set as a writing target.

摘要: A communications system whose bandwidth resources can be used more efficiently by reserving them on an individual path basis. Upon receipt of a bandwidth reservation message, a path setup initiator examines the message and thereby recognizes that the local station device is the egress node of a specified logical network segment. It then consults a topology database to retrieve hop counts of the source station device, which reveals, for example, that a first ringlet has a smaller hop count than a second ringlet. The path setup initiator sends a working path setup message to the ingress network device over the first ringlet, as well as a protection path setup message to the same ingress device over the second ringlet. Upon receipt of those messages, a bandwidth reservation unit reserves a working path bandwidth on the second ringlet, as well as a protection path bandwidth on the first ringlet.

摘要: A method of calculating the amount of work done by an internal combustion engine, which is capable of calculating a work amount parameter indicative of the amount of work done with accuracy while compensating for a phase delay in in-cylinder pressure data caused e.g. by a filtering process performed thereon. The method calculates the work amount parameter Pmi indicative of the amount of work done by the engine 3 including a combustion chamber 3b, as follows: Pressure in the combustion chamber 3b is detected to obtain in-cylinder pressure data P indicative of the detected pressure. Volume data V indicative of a state of change in volume of the combustion chamber 3b is obtained. The obtained volume data V is subjected to a first predetermined filtering process. The work amount parameter Pmi is calculated based on the detected in-cylinder pressure data P, and the volume data filtered value VF obtained by subjecting the volume data V to the first filtering process.

摘要: A failure detection apparatus for preventing erroneous detection due to a degradation of a sensor and thereby accurately performing failure detection of a variable valve timing and lift control system is provided. The detection apparatus detects a failure of a variable valve timing and lift control system in an engine. The detection apparatus detects a vibration inside an engine cylinder, extracts the component of seating sound of the valve from the output signal of the sensor, determines an actual seating time of said valve from the component of seating sound, and calculates a target seating time of said valve based on at least one of a requested lift amount, a requested advance angle, and a requested open angle depending on the operating conditions. The detecting apparatus corrects the actual seating time for a stationary deviation between the actual seating time and the target seating time caused by degradation or unevenness of the sensor. The detecting apparatus determines a failure of the variable valve timing and lift control system by comparing the corrected actual seating time with the target seating time.

摘要: A determining unit determines an allowable rate of data input permitted at a local node. A generating unit generates, when the allowable rate determined by the determining unit is equal to or greater than a target rate of the local node, extended control information including satisfaction information indicating that the target rate is achieved. A transmitting unit transmits the extended control information generated by the generating unit to an upstream node.
