    Abstract: Systems, methods, and machine-readable media facilitate adaptive beamforming in a cellular network. One or more signals indicative of one or more locations of a first set of one or more radio units and/or a first set of user equipment may be processed. A first set of beamforming specifications may be determined based at least in part on the one or more locations of the first set of one or more radio units and/or the first set of user equipment. The first set of beamforming specifications may correspond to a first set of one or more beamforming patterns. The first set of beamforming specifications may be communicated to instruct the first set of one or more radio units to direct signal transmission in conformance with the first set of one or more beamforming patterns.

    Abstract: Systems, devices, and automated processes are provided with selective access to multiple available slices of a network from at least one cell by a user equipment (UE) to enable reductions in slice failure access to the network. The method includes: accessing at a first cell, by the UE, slice A of the network wherein slice A provides higher bandwidth and lower latency access than slice B; and accessing at a second cell, by the UE, both slice A and slice B of the network wherein slice B have greater access availability than slice A wherein if the UE attempts to access the first or second cell then via cell reselection of the UE making a determination to select the second cell if the user is authorized for use of a premium service for the higher bandwidth and lower latency access of slice A else selecting by the UE the first cell for network access of slice B.

    Abstract: A system for scheduling wireless data transmissions divides a band allocated to the mobile service carrier into two overlapping bands. Then each user equipment (UE) of a plurality of UEs that connects to the ground-based network of the mobile service carrier is assigned to one of the two overlapping bands. The system allocates at a given scheduling time, physical resource blocks (PRBs) to UEs up to a maximum number of PRBs available for the particular overlapping frequency band to which the UE is assigned based on a metric for the UE that is a ratio of a downlink channel quality indicator for the UE to the average data rate of the UE at the given time, giving higher priority for PRB allocation to UEs that have a larger metric than other UEs of the plurality of UEs.
