Abstract: A redirection method includes: detecting, by user equipment, that signal quality of a currently accessed cell is less than a specified threshold; determining, whether the user equipment satisfies a specified condition; if it is determined that the user equipment satisfies the specified condition, sending a measurement report to a network side, so that the network side sends a redirection command to the user equipment according to the measurement report; or if it is determined that the user equipment does not satisfy the specified condition, skipping sending of a measurement report to a network side.
