    Abstract: A method of wireless communication includes receiving, by a user equipment (UE), a first transmission and transmitting, by the UE, a first measurement report that is based on the first transmission and includes at least a first measurement result. The method further includes receiving, by the UE, a second transmission that includes a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) and further includes transmitting, by the UE, a second measurement report that is based on the DMRS. The second measurement report includes at least a first value that is based on a difference between the first measurement result and a second measurement result that is based on the DMRS.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive at least one control message including an indication that frequency hopping for downlink control information (DCI) is activated for physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). The UE may determine a frequency hopping configuration (e.g., a frequency hopping pattern) for the DCI, which may be applied for PDSCH occasions, for a group of PDSCH occasions, or until changed by another indication from the network. The UE may also receive a downlink reference according to the frequency hopping configuration. For example, if intra-occasion frequency hopping is activated, demodulation reference signals (DMRS) may be received in each hop of the DCI within a PDSCH occasion, and if inter-occasion frequency hopping is activated, DMRS may be received once per PDSCH occasion.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may perform cell discovery in a window by monitoring for and receiving synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) from a network entity. The UE may receive an indication of a numerical quantity of beams in a set of beams associated with SSB transmission during a discovery window. The UE may map a set of SSB transmissions within the discovery window to a set of SSB candidates within the discovery window using the receive indication of the numerical quantity of beams. The UE may select, for each SSB candidate of the set of SSB candidates, a beam from the set of beams for monitoring each SSB candidate. The UE may monitor the SSB candidates in accordance with the beam selected for each SSB candidate. The UE may then receive one or more SSBs in accordance with the monitoring.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. To indicate a precoder sequence for uplink transmissions, a base station may transmit a message to a UE that configures a sequence of at least two sets of precoding parameters. Each set of precoding parameters may correspond to an uplink message. For example, a first set of precoding parameters of the sequence may correspond to a first uplink message and a second set of precoding parameters of the sequence may correspond to a second uplink message that is subsequent to the first uplink message in a time domain. The UE may receive the message and transmit, to the base station, the first uplink message using the first set of precoding parameters and the second uplink message using the second set of precoding parameters based on the sequence of the at least two sets of precoding parameters.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For instance, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a first downlink control information message in a downlink control channel, the first downlink control information message scheduling first resources of a downlink shared channel for a second downlink control information message. The UE may identify a first, UE-specific scrambling sequence for the second downlink control information message. The UE may receive, from the base station, the second downlink control information message based on the first scrambling sequence, the second downlink control information message scheduling second resources of the downlink shared channel for a data message. The UE may receive, from the base station, the data message in the second resources scheduled by the second downlink control information message.
