    Abstract: Encoding and decoding methods and apparatus are described. An example method is described for embedding information into audio by determining a first set of frequency components to represent a synchronization block, the synchronization block representing one of a plurality of different message types, one frequency component from each set of frequency components being located in a respective code band, and spacing between adjacent code bands is equal to or less than the spacing between adjacent frequency components of each code band.     Abstract: Methods and apparatus to generate and use content-aware watermarks are disclosed herein. An example disclosed method includes detecting a watermark in a first media composition, the watermark encoded with a word present in an audio track of the first media composition, the word audible during playback of the audio track. The example method also includes retrieving the word from the watermark. The example method also includes determining whether the word retrieved from the watermark matches a keyword, and presenting a second media composition when the word matches the keyword.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus to determine a state of a media presentation device are disclosed. Example disclosed methods include generating a first set of weighted coefficients based on first audio received by first and second microphones at a first time. Example disclosed methods include comparing the first set of coefficients and the second set of coefficients to generate a similarity value.
