    摘要: Revolving rollers, each provided on an outer peripheral surface thereof with revolving roller grooves extending therearound, are caused to mesh with a rack rod thread of a central rack rod with an axial angle over a lead angle of the rack rod thread and arranged for rotation on a holder member to be twisted. The holder member is rotated round the rack rod by a motor to translate the rack rod. A large thrust can be generated while ensuring a high reliability since a high efficiency is achieved by realizing rolling contact in set points of mesh of the rack rod thread and the revolving roller grooves, points of mesh are made planar, and interference in other points than the points of mesh can be suppressed. Also, play can be restricted by assembling the revolving rollers to the rack rod thread while applying torque in a direction, in which the axial angle is increased.

    摘要: An anti-backlash nut assembly for translational movement along the axis of a leadscrew in response to rotational movement of the nut assembly relative to the leadscrew. The nut assembly comprises (i) a primary nut having an internal thread which mates with an external thread on the leadscrew; (ii) a secondary nut having an internal thread which mates with the external thread on the leadscrew, the secondary nut being capable of rotational movement about the leadscrew independent of the primary nut; (iii) a spring disposed intermediate the primary nut and the secondary nut; and (iv) a housing connected to the said primary nut which surrounds the spring and the secondary nut, for imparting rotational movement applied thereto simultaneously to the primary nut and the secondary nut. In a second embodiment, the nut assembly comprises (i) a primary nut having an internal thread which mates with an external thread on the leadscrew; (ii) a preload member having an internal thread which mates with the external thread on the leadscrew, the secondary nut being capable of rotational movement about the leadscrew independent of the primary nut; (iii) a spring disposed intermediate the preload member and an adjustment member; and (iv) an adjustment member connected to the housing and having a bore for insertion of the leadscrew therethrough; and (v) a housing connected to the primary nut which surrounds the spring, the preload member and the adjustment member, for imparting rotational movement applied thereto simultaneously to the primary nut and the preload member.     摘要: An adjustable nut for mounting a movable working assembly to a lead screw having a longitudinal axis and a thread, and methods for adjusting lead screw nuts. In one embodiment, the adjustable nut has a first member, a second member and an adjustment assembly. The first and second members of this embodiment are configured to threadably engage the thread on the lead screw. The second member can be coupled to the first member to prevent relative rotation between the first and second members, and to allow axial displacement between the first and second members along the longitudinal axis of the lead screw. The adjustment assembly of this embodiment includes a biasing element coupled to the first and second members to exert an axial drive force with respect to the longitudinal axis of the lead screw that drives the first and second members apart from one another. The biasing element of this embodiment is selectively adjustable to increase or decrease the axial drive force without disassembling the biasing element from the first or second member. In another embodiment, the adjustment assembly further includes a third member threadably engaged with the second member. In this embodiment, the first member has a first contact surface and the third member has a second contact surface facing the first contact surface. The biasing element extends between the first and second contact surfaces to exert the axial drive force against the first and second contact surfaces. The third member can be rotated with respect to the second member to move the second surface axially with respect to the first surface for increasing or decreasing the axial drive force exerted by the biasing element.

    摘要: A lead screw piezo nut positioning device includes coupling and driven members and a piezo nut positioner assembly. The coupling member is secured to an external machine part and received about a lead screw such that the lead screw does not directly drivingly engage and cause movement of the coupling member nor of the external machine part. The driven member is threadably coupled about the lead screw for undergoing coarse movement along the lead screw in response to its rotation. The piezo nut positioner assembly is disposed between the coupling and driven members and received over the lead screw such that the assembly is not directly drivingly engaged nor moved by the lead screw. The assembly is electrically activatable to undergo axial expansion along the lead screw and extends between and interconnects the coupling and driven members such that the position of the external machine part secured to the coupling member can be coarsely adjusted relative to the lead screw via the assembly and coupling member and finely adjusted relative to the lead screw via the coupling member after the rotation of the lead screw and thus the coarse movement of the driven member have ceased. The axial expansion of the piezo nut positioner assembly is proportional to the frequency of an electrical voltage applied to the assembly.

    摘要: An anti-friction nut for engagement with an elongate shaft-like member having a groove with opposed walls. The nut body has an axial bore which is adapted to receive the shaft-like member, and a radial bore communicating with the axial bore. The radial bore carries an anti-friction roller mounted by means of two back-to-back ball bearing assemblages. A nose portion of the roller extends into the axial bore and engages one wall of the groove of the shaft-like member. There is a spring in the radial bore which engages the outer race of the inner ball bearing assemblage, and effectively biases the roller in a radially outward direction, away from the shaft-like member. A threaded adjustment plug in the bore engages the outer race of the outermost ball bearing assemblage, to effect adjustable movement of the roller in radial directions, against the action of the spring. Reduced looseness and backlash are realized.

In a preferred form, the apparatus is incorporated into a power tool for woodworking or metal forming and is operative for eliminating play in the threaded interconnection of the components which is most evidence upon reversal of movement of the drive rod.

The preliminary thrusting mechanism includes as essential components a screw shaft having a spirally extending screw groove formed axially along the outer surface thereof, a first nut threadably engaged with the screw shaft, a second nut operatively connected to the first nut in series and threadably engaged with the screw shaft, a rotation stopping unit for preventing the second nut from being rotated relative to the first nut, a thrusting unit including a thrusting member adapted to impart to the first nut and the second nut a certain intensity of thrusting power effective in the opposite direction for allowing them to be displaced away from each other in the axial direction, and a stopping unit for preventing the thrusting member from being displaced further when the thrusting member is displaced by a predetermined distance. In practice, the thrusting unit includes a liquid pressure source, a liquid pressure supplying path and a pressure chamber, and the stopping unit includes flanges each serving to prevent further displacement of the thrusting member.
