Abstract:
This invention constitutes an improvement in the pressure lubrication of rocker-type valve gears of internal combustion engines, and more particularly in the lubrication of the bearing areas between rocker heels and cams in valve gears comprising at least one overhead camshaft associated with at least one hollow rocker shaft acting as a lubricant supply duct, said rocker shaft being formed with oil-dispensing ports in the form of radial holes coincident with radial holes formed in said rockers themselves in order to form lubricant jets directed towards the working surfaces of said cams in a zone located just upstream of the line of contact between the cams and the corresponding rocker heels.
Abstract:
AN ASSEMBLY OF TWO TUBULAR MEMBERS IN ENCASTRE RELATIONSHIP INCLUDES A FIRST TUBULAR MEMBER FORMED BY TWO SEMI-SHELLS ONE OF WHICH HAS A FLARED APERTURE FOR THE RECEIPT OF A SECOND TUBULAR MEMBER. THAT END OF THE SECOND TUBULAR MEMBER WHICH LIES WITHIN THE FIRST IS SECURED TO A SHEET MEMBER OR PARTITION, EDGES OF WHICH ARE SECURED TO A FLANGES FORMING PARTS OF THE SEMI-SHELLS. ON EITHER SIDE OF THIS PARTITION TWO FURTHER PARTITIONS ARE DISPOSED LATERALLY WHICH ARE SECURED TO THE INTERNAL SURFACE OF BOTH SEMI-SHELLS AND TO END FLANGES OF THE FIRST MENTIONED PARTITION MEMBER. THE METHOD OF ASSEMBLY INCLUDES INSERTING THE SECOND TUBULAR MEMBER INTO THE FLARED APERTURE OF ONE OF THE SEMI-SHELLS WELDING THE INSERTED END INTO THE FIRST MENTIONED PARTITION AND SUBSEQUENTLY WELDING THE PARTITION TO THE FLANGES OF THE SEMI-SHELLS AND WELDING THE LATERALLY DISPOSED PARTITIONS TO THE FIRST MENTIONED PARTITION AND TO THE INTERIOR SURFACES OF THE SEMI-SHELLS.
Abstract:
THE PRESENT INVENTION RELATES TO DRIVE UNITS AND ACCORDING THERETO SUCH A UNIT COMPRISES A TWO-STROKE ENGINE HAVING A SCAVENGING COMPRESSOR, A SPEED REGULATOR AND A DIFFERENTIAL GEAR. ONE OF THE ELEMENTS OF THE DIFFERENTIAL IS COUPLED TO A SHAFT OF THE COMPRESSOR, A SECOND OF THESE ELEMENTS IS COUPLED TO THE OUTPUT SHAFT OF THE ENGINE AND THE THIRD ONE OF THESE ELEMENTS IS FIXED TO AN INPUT SHAFT OF THE SPEED REGULATOR. THE SPEED REGULATOR MAY TAKE THE FORM OF A HYDROKINETIC TORQUE CONVERTER OR IT MAY BE ELECTRICAL OR MECHANICAL, IN WHICH LATTER CASE, IT CAN CONVENIENTLY COMPRISE A PAIR OF VARIABLE DIAMETER PULLEYS INTERCONNECTED BY BELT MEANS.
Abstract:
On each side of the vehicle, a longitudinal arm carrying a wheel is mounted on a first transverse axle and a pendulous member rigidly carrying this axle is articulated to the chassis by the means of a second axle situated substantially in the vertical plane of the first axle; elastic means are interposed between the chassis and the arm. The two first axes (right side and left side) are rigidly interconnected by a rigid element.
Abstract:
A cylinder of an internal combustion engine is provided with an exhaust valve and two inlet valves one of which is controlled in motion to increase the torque at low speed and is fed through an induction passage controlled by a butterfly valve responsive to an accelerator pedal while the other is controlled in motion to increase the power output at high speed and is fed through another induction passage controlled by a butterfly valve automatically responsive to suction in the first-mentioned induction passage. At no time are the first mentioned inlet valve and exhaust valve opened simultaneously.
