摘要: Method and arrangement in a Vector Control Entity for efficient selection of which crosstalk to cancel when applying partial vectoring in a DSL communication system. The method comprises calculating a respective crosstalk effect indicator, CEIij, for the crosstalk from each line j of a plurality J of lines in a vectoring group, to a plurality of tones Si of a line i in the vectoring group, based on the strength of the crosstalk from each line j to line i, and thus providing one CEIi-value, associated with the plurality Sj of tones, per line j. The method further comprises allocating partial-vectoring resources to cancellation of crosstalk, based on the calculated CEIs. The arrangement is adapted to enable the performance of the above described method.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to User Equipments, UEs or Machine Type Communication, MTC (104, 202, 302, 304, 700) devices and base stations (102, 204, 306, 600) and methods therein for adapting the allocating of random access resources to user equipments of a cell served by a base station. A method in a base station (102, 204, 306, 600) where each RA preamble group maps or corresponds to an uplink allocation size, comprises receiving a RA preamble from a UE in a cell served by the base station, the preamble indicating a requested resource allocation size for uplink transmission of UE data. Radio resource usage (S-348, 402) in the cell is monitored and a mapping between groups of RA preambles and uplink allocation sizes (S-356, 412) configured for the cell is adapted based on the monitored usage of radio resources. UEs or MTC devices are thus provided with an efficient means to have their UL allocation needs for transmission of user data in conjunction with step 3 of the Random Access procedure met.

摘要: In one aspect, the teachings herein provide a system and method for reusing the PUCCH format 3 to address the new HARQ-ACK feedback cases encountered in Rel-11, where different UL/DL configurations are involved in the CA configuration of a UE, such as Rel-11 interband TDD CA with different UL/DL configurations on different bands. The various embodiments illustrated by way of example in this disclosure enable reliable and efficient HARQ-ACK feedback for Rel-11 TDD CA without a substantial increase in specification and implementation complexity.

摘要: A method in a communication device (120) for reducing power consumption in the communication device (120) is provided. The communication device (120) and a base station (110) are comprised in a cellular communications network (100). The communication device obtains information about an antenna beam (117) of the base station (110). The antenna beam (117) will be perceived by the communication device (120) in time periods. The information relates to when in time a time period starts and the duration of the time period. When being out of the time period, the communication device refrains from attempting to receive or transmit data using the antenna beam (117). During the refraining no power is consumed for attempting to receive or transmit data using the antenna beam (117).

摘要: Techniques provide additional Hybrid-ARQ indication resources for LTE TDD subframes that are normally without conventional LTE PHICH resources or that have too few LTE PHICH resources. In some embodiments, a modified PHICH is created using unused REGs in the control region of the downlink subframe. In others, a modified PHICH resides within the resources of an AL=1 PDCCH, and is formed using encoding and modulation processes that differ from normal PDCCH processing. In other embodiments, the PUSCH HARQ feedback bits are carried by a conventional LTE PDCCH, which is distinguished from other PDCCHs by scrambling it with a new type of RNTI: HARQ indicator Radio-network temporary identifier (HI-RNTI). In still other embodiments, the modulation symbols of PHICH are then placed on top of those normally reserved for PDCCHs. For such overlapped radio resources, the modulation symbols from the modified PHICH will replace those from normal PDCCHs for transmission.

摘要: A communication system node transmits first control channel information on a control channel that extends over a first bandwidth of a radiofrequency resource. The first control channel information is necessary to enable a first type of communication device, capable of receiving a signal having the first bandwidth, to establish a connection with a host cell. A MIB, occupying a second bandwidth-size part of the first bandwidth, is transmitted. The second bandwidth is smaller than the first bandwidth and is receivable by a second type of communication device having reduced receive bandwidth capabilities. The MIB has a first part comprising first part information necessary to enable the first type of communication device to establish the connection with the host cell, and a second part comprising second part information directly or indirectly enabling the second type of communication device to obtain parameters that enable connection establishment with the host cell.
