Abstract:
Methods of forming memory devices are provided. The methods may include forming a pre-stacked gate structure including a lower structure and a first polysilicon pattern on the substrate. The methods may also include forming an insulation layer covering the pre-stacked gate structure. The methods may further include forming a trench in the insulation layer by removing a portion of the first polysilicon pattern. The methods may additionally include forming a metal film pattern in the trench on the first polysilicon pattern. The methods may also include forming a first metal silicide pattern by performing a first thermal treatment on the first polysilicon pattern and the metal film pattern. The methods may further include forming a second polysilicon pattern in the trench. The methods may additionally include forming a second metal silicide pattern by performing a second thermal treatment on the second polysilicon pattern and the first metal silicide pattern.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for supporting an eraser function of a digitizer pen in a digitizer system are provided. The method includes, if it is recognized that an eraser part of the digitizer pen gets contact on a reception device, determining a pressure of the eraser part contacting on a surface of the reception device and, according to the determined pressure, changing a frequency transmitted to the reception device.
Abstract:
A method for measuring human intelligence using a neurobiogical model is provided. The method enables neurometric IQ to be measured by processing MRI and fMRI images of a subject to determine cortical thicknesses and brain activation level, determining structural IQ (sIQ) and functional IQ (fIQ) from the determined cortical thicknesses and brain activation level, and using the structural IQ (sIQ) and the functional IQ (fIQ) as predictors to measure the neurometric IQ of the subject. With this, individual differences in general cognitive ability can be easily assessed. It suggests that general cognitive ability can be explained by two different neural bases or traits: facilitation of neural circuits and accumulation of crystallized knowledge.
Abstract:
A character input mode of a mobile terminal permits easier viewing of characters being entered on a virtual keyboard. An apparatus and a method permitting detection of misprinted/omitted character when performing a special character input mode An output manager outputs a character input screen including a virtual keyboard region and a character input field region when entering a character input mode, and outputs an auxiliary character input field showing information of currently input data on the virtual keyboard region. A display unit outputs the auxiliary character input field, the character input field, and the virtual keyboard. When an input of the virtual keyboard is detected, the output manager outputs information of data corresponding to an input position on the character input field and the auxiliary character input field. The character input mode preferably includes a mode for inputting at least one of text data, symbol data, and emoticon data.

Abstract:
A detergent supply apparatus comprising a storage space adjacent to a washing space in which washing is performed, a detergent bottle seat provided in the storage space and adapted to receive a detergent bottle containing a liquid detergent, a detergent reservoir in fluid communication with the detergent bottle, and a connecting part adapted to fix a portion of the detergent bottle to the detergent reservoir such that the liquid detergent can flow through the connecting part and into the detergent reservoir by gravitational force.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a desktop sterilizer for books. The sterilizer includes an openable main body which has a sterilization chamber therein and is closable by a door so as to be openable through an opening, and a book holder which is provided in the sterilization chamber to maintain the covers of a book in a state of being unfolded. The sterilizer further includes a sterilizing UV lamp which sterilizes the book, and an air discharger which is connected to a blower and blows air towards the proximal edges of pages bound to a book spine of the book held by the book holder, thus opening the pages of the book. The sterilizer further includes a static electricity generating unit which charges the book with static electricity, such that the pages of the book are laid open by a static electric repulsive force, an aroma generating unit which generates an aroma and supplies it into the sterilization chamber using the air discharger, and a control computer which controls the sterilizing UV lamp and the blower.
Abstract:
Size-controlled immobilization of metal nano-clusters onto particles or nanoparticles is achieved using a polyol process. Polyol processing makes it possible to use thiol groups as a chemical protocol to functionalize the surface of particles, such as silica and polystyrene nanoparticles. Metal nano-clusters, such as silver, gold, platinum and palladium, nucleate and grow on the surface of the particles. The metal nano-clusters may be synthesized in a one-pot process from metal salts, nitrates, nitrites, sulfates, sulfites and the like. Any source of metal ions compatible with the polyol suspension and selected particles may be used. The size of immobilized metal nano-clusters may be controlled by additions of a poly(vinylpyrrolidone) or other polymer capable of regulating the metal ion reduction and nucleation process and by controlling concentration of metal ions, the nucleation and/or growth temperatures, and processing time.
Abstract:
A semiconductor device may include plugs disposed in a zigzag pattern, interconnections electrically connected to the plugs and a protection pattern which is interposed between the plugs and the interconnections to selectively expose the plugs. The interconnections may include a connection portion which is in contact with plugs selectively exposed by the protection pattern. A method of manufacturing a semiconductor device includes, after forming a molding pattern and a mask pattern, selectively etching a protection layer using the mask pattern to form a protection pattern exposing a plug.
