摘要: Flanges are pressed into opposite ends of a photoreceptor drum. A noncontact charging roller is arranged so as to face, but have no direct contact with, the photoreceptor drum. On both end portions of the noncontact charging roller, spacers are provided for maintaing a gap between the photoreceptor drum and the noncontact charging roller. The spacers are of tape form and wound around the noncontact charging roller. Winding positions of the spacers are distant by more than an effective projection length of each of the flanges from respective opposite ends of the charging roller.

摘要: An exhaust device is used to exhaust air from inside of an apparatus to outside. The exhaust device includes a louver with blades arrayed in a lattice, the louver being detachably engaged with a trough hole in a cover of the apparatus such that the louver can rotate freely in a clockwise and a counterclockwise direction. A fan unit provided separately from the louver is positioned upstream in an airflow direction than the louver, so as not to rotate when the louver is rotated. The blades form an angle between 0° and 90° with a plane perpendicular to a central axis of the louver.

摘要: An inkjet print device prints by reciprocally moving a carriage (15) in a main scan direction while controlling ink ejection from a print head (17) according to information on the position of the carriage (15) both in a forward movement and in a return movement. An encoder (22), a first U/D counter (29), a second U/D counter (30), a timer (31), and an interval timer (32) senses the position of the carriage (15). The encoder (22), the first U/D counter (29), and the timer (31) senses the speed of the carriage (15). A TBL memory (33) is used in determining a positional correction quantity at a sensed carriage speed from a positional correction quantity at a predetermined carriage speed. A head control section (26) controls ink ejection from the print head (17) based on the carriage position and the positional correction quantity.

摘要: An interface that allows a user to model and analyze the properties of three dimensional surface and the regions surrounding such surfaces. The user manipulates a deformable bed of translucent glass beads that defines the geometry of a surface. An array of light emitting diodes underneath the beads transmits infrared light upwardly through the beads such that the intensity of radiation from each position on the surface of the beads is related to the depth of the beads at that position. A digital camera captures radiation image data which is then processed to create elevation data specifying the geometry of the surface. A processor processes the elevation data using a selected analysis function to produce result data representing computed characteristics of the surface or its surrounding region. The result data is projected as an image onto the surface of the beads. The interface permits the user to modify a surface geometry and directly visualize the characteristics of the modified geometry in real time.

摘要: The present removing system has a feature to remove a left-over toner that is accumulated on a brush that touches a left-over toner on a photoreceptor. More specifically, the present removing system is so arranged that an alternating voltage (superimposing voltage) on which a positive direct current voltage is superimposed is applied onto a conductive brush in accordance with a user's instruction. With this arrangement, even if a positively electrified left-over toner is accumulated on the conductive brush, it is possible to remove the positively electrified left-over toner accumulated on the conductive brush, because a voltage value (positive) applied on the conductive brush in a moment is large. Moreover, because a voltage of the conductive brush becomes negative in a moment, it is possible to remove a negatively electrified left-over toner attached on the conductive brush.
