摘要: A device for the production of water on board a vehicle comprising a duct, where an air flow flows; a tank, which contains a quantity of adsorbing material and is arranged along the duct; a first and a second adjustment valve for the adjustment of the duct, which are arranged upstream and downstream, respectively, of the tank and are movable between an opening position, in which the air flow can flow towards the tank, and a closing position, in which the air flow cannot flow towards the tank, and vice versa; wherein the first and the second adjustment valve are controlled in a synchronous and concordant manner; and a heating element, which is designed to heat the adsorbing material when the first and the second adjustment valve are in the closing position.

摘要: During execution of a first purification process of fluctuating a hydrocarbon concentration in exhaust gas flowing into a first catalyst with an amplitude within a prescribed range at a time interval within a prescribed range, when a switch request to a second purification process of purifying NOx in a second catalyst by adding urea water into the exhaust gas is generated, the switch to the second purification process is prohibited on the condition that a current NOx purification rate (a first purification rate R1) is higher than a purification rate (a second purification rate R2) on the assumption that the second purification process is executed, and an HC poisoning recovery stand-by process of reducing an additive amount of hydrocarbon per once in the first purification process is executed so as to reduce a slip amount of hydrocarbon into the downstream of the first catalyst.

摘要: A vapor canister of an evaporative emissions (EVAP) system is configured to store fuel vapor evaporated from a liquid fuel housed in a fuel tank of a vehicle. A boost line is connected between a high-pressure side of a boost system of an engine and the vapor canister, a boost pressure control valve is disposed in-line along the boost line and configured to control an amount of boost pressure provided to the vapor canister, and a set of purge lines are connected between the vapor canister and at least one of the engine, an induction system of the engine, and an exhaust treatment system of the engine. A controller is configured to control the boost pressure control valve to control the boost pressure provided to the vapor canister to control an amount of fuel vapor forced from the vapor canister through at least one of the set of purge lines.

摘要: The embodiments include: a NOx occlusion/reduction catalyst which is provided to an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine, occludes NOx in exhaust when the exhaust is in a lean state, and reduces and purifies occluded NOx when the exhaust is in a rich state; a NOx purging control unit which, when the exhaust is in the rich state, executes NOx purging in which the NOx occluded in the NOx occlusion/reduction catalyst is reduced and purified; and a NOx-purging-prohibition processing unit which, when at least one of a plurality of prohibition conditions is fulfilled, prohibits execution of catalyst regeneration processing by the NOx purging control unit even if a catalyst-regeneration-processing start request has been issued, and, when one of the prohibition conditions is fulfilled during execution of the catalyst regeneration processing, invalidates the prohibition condition and allows continued execution of the catalyst regeneration processing by the NOx purging control unit.

摘要: An exhaust purification system includes: an NOx reduction type catalyst, which is provided in an exhaust system; a temperature acquisition unit, which acquires a catalyst temperature of the NOx reduction type catalyst; and a regeneration treatment unit, which executes a catalyst regeneration to recover an NOx purification capacity, wherein the regeneration treatment unit alternately executes a rich control, in which an exhaust air fuel ratio is set to a rich state to raise a temperature of the NOx reduction type catalyst to a predetermined target temperature, and a lean control, in which the exhaust air fuel ratio is set to a lean state to lower the temperature of the NOx reduction type catalyst, and sets an execution period of the lean control based on a deviation between the catalyst temperature acquired by the temperature acquisition unit during the previous rich control and the target temperature.

摘要: An exhaust gas cleaning system for an internal combustion engine is provided with, in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine and in order from an upstream side: a hydrocarbon supply unit; an upstream side catalyst unit of an oxidation catalyst, a NOx reduction catalyst, or the like; and a catalyst-equipped fine particle collection filter having a hydrocarbon adsorption function, wherein when a vehicle on which the engine is mounted accelerates after driving for a preset set time period at a temperature of exhaust gas equal to or less than a preset set exhaust gas temperature, the supply of hydrocarbon into the exhaust gas is started when an exhaust gas temperature becomes equal to or more than a preset first set temperature, and the supply of hydrocarbon is terminated when a preset termination condition is satisfied.

摘要: In a failure diagnosis device of an emission control system that utilizes an electrode-based PM sensor provided downstream of a particulate filter in an exhaust conduit to diagnose a failure of the particulate filter, disclosed embodiments may suppress reduction of accuracy of diagnosis of a failure due to in-cylinder rich control. The failure diagnosis device of the emission control system starts application of a predetermined voltage to electrodes of the electrode-based PM sensor after a sensor recovery process that removes PM depositing between the electrodes of the PM sensor, and diagnoses a failure of the particulate filter based on an output of the PM sensor measured after elapse of a predetermined time period since the start of application of the predetermined voltage. The failure diagnosis device performs the sensor recovery process during in-cylinder rich control or triggered by termination of the in-cylinder rich control and subsequently performs a measurement process after termination of the in-cylinder rich control and the sensor recovery process.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to detect an abnormality in an exhaust gas purification apparatus having an NSR catalyst and an SCR catalyst disposed on a downstream side of the NSR catalyst more favorably. Air-fuel ratio reduction control is executed to reduce NOx occluded to the NSR catalyst when an integrated value of an amount of NOx flowing into the NSR catalyst reaches an upper limit value of an amount of NOx that can be occluded to the NSR catalyst in a normal condition. It is determined whether or not the exhaust gas purification apparatus is in an abnormal state on the basis of a NOx purification ratio of the exhaust gas purification apparatus calculated at this time.

摘要: A method for purifying exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine, including chemically reducing NOx that is contained in the exhaust gas when a concentration of hydrocarbons flowing into an exhaust purification catalyst is made to vibrate within a predetermined range of amplitude and within a predetermined range of period, wherein, during the chemical reduction, the NOx contained in the exhaust gas is reacted with reformed hydrocarbons to produce a reducing intermediate containing nitrogen and hydrocarbons, a reducing action of the reducing intermediate chemically reduces the NOx, and the NOx is chemically reduced without storing nitrates or with storing a fine amount of the nitrates in a basic layer of the exhaust purification catalyst.
