Abstract:
Technologies for monitoring data storage location for cloud data include a cloud monitoring server configured to communicate with one or more cloud customer computing devices and cloud service providers. The cloud monitoring server receives monitoring requests from the cloud customer computing devices and retrieves provider information from the cloud service providers. The cloud monitoring server compiles response data based on the monitoring requests and the provider information, and sends response data to the cloud customer computing devices. Cloud customer computing devices may send on-demand monitoring requests and/or continuous, policy-based monitoring requests. For policy-based monitoring, the cloud monitoring server continually monitors the provider information and provides response data when one or more conditions specified in the policy are satisfied. The cloud monitoring server may also make recommendations and provide feedback based on the monitoring requests or the provider information. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to manage password security. An example apparatus includes an alarm action engine to invoke a provisional transmission block in response to detecting entry of a candidate password, a password linkage monitor to retrieve a list of password hash values associated with previously used passwords, and to compare the list of password hash values to a hash of the candidate password, the alarm action engine to invoke a permanent block of the candidate password when a match condition occurs between the hash of the candidate password and a hash of one of the list of password hash values.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a high molecular weight polylactic acid synthesized by using a method for synthesizing and catalytically-polycondensing bionic creatinine-guanidinium chloride. Creatinine is used as the material in a reaction with aqueous hydrochloric acid to synthesize a bionic creatinine-guanidinium salt catalyst, creatinine-guanidinium chloride (CR.Cl). The creatinine-guanidinium chloride synthesized is used as a catalyst, an industrial grade lactic acid (LA, 85% to 90%, aqueous solution) is used as a monomer, a solvent-free two-step polycondensation method is used to synthesize and afford metal-free and toxic residue-free polylactic acid featuring high biological safety and high molecular weight.

Generally, this disclosure describes a method and system for providing product mapping on a mobile device based on device context. A method may include receiving product location data based on a context of a mobile device, wherein the product location data includes an available product location for each available product that corresponds to a desired product in a shopping list of desired products; and displaying a map of a store that sells one or more available products, wherein the store is related to the context and the map includes a product location indicator corresponding to each available product location configured to allow a user to find each available product that corresponds to a respective desired product in the store.
Abstract:
A return-type current-reuse mixer having a transconductance/amplification stage, a mixing stage, and a high-pass and a low-pass filter network. The transconductance/amplification stage has a current-reuse CMOS topology wherein an input frequency signal is converted into a frequency current, low-frequency components are removed from the frequency current by the high-pass filter network, the frequency current is fed into the mixing stage, modulation occurs in the mixing stage, and then an intermediate-frequency signal is generated and output. Once high-frequency components are removed from the intermediate-frequency signal by the low-pass filter network, the intermediate-frequency signal is sent again for input into the transconductance/amplification stage, then amplified in the transconductance/amplification stage and output. The mixer transconductance/amplification stage employs a current-reuse technique. The input frequency and the output intermediate-frequency signal share a common transconductance/amplification stage. The mixer reduces power consumption, simplifies the circuit topology, and provides high conversion gain.
Abstract:
A method for synthesizing a medical grade biodegradable material, poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid), copolycondensation of lactic acid and glycolic acid catalyzed by biomass creatinine. The present invention uses commercialized creatinine (a type of biomaterial organic guanidine compounds—the arginine metabolite creatinine (CR) in human body) as the catalyst and industrial lactic acid (LA, mass content 85%, aqueous solution) and glycolic acid (GA, 95%) as the monomer to synthesize the high biosafety of medical poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) in terms of two steps polycondensation without solvent. The method of the present invention has the following characters: green technology is used, raw materials required are low in costs, operation is simple and convenient, and it is easy for industrialization; the catalyst, creatinine, used in the invention has high biocompatibility and biosafety, and no cytotoxicity; the poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) synthesized is free of any metal and other toxic residues; Further, the molecular weight distribution for all synthesized products is narrow and the molecular weight is controllable within 1.8-17.7×104; and the poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) synthesized is suitable for use as implantable material for hard tissue repair, surgical sutures, and the carrier for targeting drugs and controlled release drugs.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an implantable solid polymer delivery composition that can be formulated to release a bioactive agent to an interior body site at a controlled rate over an extended period of time by adjusting the various components of the composition. The controlled delivery of the composition avoids an initial drug spike, resulting in a smooth delivery profile over time. Polymer layers in the composition can be porous and are both biodegradable in water and body enzymes and biocompatible. Methods of making the implantable solid polymer compositions and methods of delivering a bioactive agent at a controlled rate to an interior body site are also provided.
