    摘要: An image display device which has a stable luminous brightness among pixels. An on/off control switch 15 for stopping the driving operation of a light emitting element 13 is provided in a pixel 1. A change in the luminous brightness caused by a variation in the characteristic of the light emitting element 13 is suppressed by feeding a result measured by a current measuring circuit provided in one end of a power line 4 back to a drive signal for the light emitting element 13.

    摘要: An image display device includes a black spot defect position determination circuit which determines a position of a black-spot defective pixel of a self-luminous display panel. A detection-use current source in the black spot defect position determination circuit is connected to pixels during a period separate from a display period of data signals thus determining a black spot defect. The position of the black spot defect is stored in a storing circuit and is transmitted to a display and detection control circuit. The display and detection control circuit corrects the data signals to the pixels around the defective pixel based on a black spot defect position, and drives a data line drive circuit based on the corrected data signals thus visually correcting the black spot defect.

    摘要: An image display apparatus includes a plurality of scanning wires in an image display region for transmitting a scanning signal, a plurality of signal wires intersecting the plurality of scanning wires in the image display region for transmitting a signal voltage, a plurality of current driven electroooptical display elements each arranged in a pixel region surrounded by the wires connected to a common power supply, a plurality of driving elements in the pixel region connected with the electro-optical display elements and a plurality of memory control circuits for holding the signal voltage in response to the scanning signal to control driving of the driving elements based on the held signal voltage. The memory control circuit samples and holds the signal voltage while blocking a bias voltage from being applied to the driving elements, and subsequently applies the driving elements with the held signal voltage as the bias voltage.

    摘要: An image display has gate-lines and signal-lines in a matrix shape, and has thin film transistors each having: an island-shaped semiconductor layer having source region, drain region, and channel region sandwiched between them; a first insulation film formed between the semiconductor layer and a gate electrode of the same layer as that of the gate-lines; an interlayer insulation film formed above the semiconductor layer; and a source electrode and a drain electrode existing in the same layer as that of the signal-lines. Each capacitor has: a storage electrode of the same layer as that of the gate-lines; an insulation film formed on the storage electrode and being in contact therewith; and an electrode formed on the insulation film and being in contact therewith and existing in the same layer as that of the signal-lines.

    摘要: The present invention enhances a display quality of a display device as a task. As means for solving such a task, the present invention provides a display device including a light emitting element and a switching element in a pixel, wherein the switching element is provided for supplying a power source to the light emitting element and is constituted of a first switching element and a second switching element. The first switching element and the second switching element are configured to be operated, in response to inputting of data signals into the inside of the pixel, one switching element assumes a positive bias state and another switching element assumes a reverse bias state, and the bias states are alternately changed over between the first switching element and the second switching element in response to time-sequential inputting of the data signals, and the supply of the power source to the light emitting element is performed by way of either one of the first switching element and the second switching element.
