摘要： The present invention relates to a bandwidth request preamble sequence selecting method for bandwidth requests on a wireless access system, and to a random access procedure using the same. Also, the present invention relates to devices supporting the random access procedure. In one example of the present invention, the method for randomly accessing a wireless access system may comprise the steps of: receiving a first message containing a predefined bandwidth request index from a base station; selecting a bandwidth request preamble sequence from the predefined bandwidth request index on the basis if the properties of uplink data to be transmitted by a mobile terminal; transmitting a second message containing a predefined bandwidth request index to the base station; and transmitting the selected bandwidth request preamble sequence to the base station.

A method for a terminal handover in a wideband radio access system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: receiving from a serving base station a handover command message that contains first timing information indicative of a time for transmitting a first uplink resource allocation information to transmit a handover instruction message; receiving the first uplink allocation information from the serving base station at the timing indicated by the first timing information; and transmitting the handover instruction message to the serving base station through an uplink resource indicated by the first uplink allocation information.

摘要： Disclosed is a method for enabling a mobile terminal to perform a handover in a mobile communication system. A serving base station which supports both a first communication scheme and a second communication scheme can transmit, to the mobile terminal, a neighbor base station list broadcast message containing time offset information indicating the point of time to transmit information on a second base station which uses the second communication scheme and supports only the second communication scheme via a specific zone using the second communication scheme. The mobile terminal which has received the message can receive, from the serving base station, the information on the second base station via the specific zone on the basis of the received time offset information.

摘要： A method for allocating uplink resources using a Quality of Service (QoS) parameter is disclosed. The method includes receiving a Bandwidth Request (BR) indicator including a station Identifier (ID) and a QoS parameter from a Mobile Station (MS), estimating uplink resources to be allocated to the MS using the station ID and the QoS parameter, and transmitting information about the estimated uplink resources to the MS by an uplink grant message. Thus, the overhead of an uplink allocation request transmitted for allocation of uplink resources is minimized. When additional information such as a BR size, etc. is used, resources are efficiently allocated.

摘要： A method of updating channel information by a mobile station (MS) that is in power saving mode is disclosed. More specifically, the method includes the MS which receives status information of a first channel descriptor and transmission frame information which includes when the first channel descriptor is to be transmitted. Furthermore, the MS compares status information of the first channel descriptor with status information of a second channel descriptor. Here, the second channel descriptor is stored in the MS. Lastly, if the compared status information are different, the MS receives the first channel descriptor according to the transmission frame information.
