Abstract:
A pressure relief valve for cryogenic service includes: a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet; a nozzle disposed within the fluid inlet, said nozzle having a nozzle groove radially formed on an exterior cylindrical surface of the nozzle and an outwardly disposed ledge having a lower ledge surface comprising a portion of an exterior surface of the nozzle groove and an upper ledge surface comprising a seat; a substantially cylindrical closure disc with a lower portion including a groove formed on an exterior radial surface of the cylindrical body, an outwardly disposed lip having an upper surface comprising a portion of an interior surface of the groove, said lip of the closure disc having a lower closure surface. The lip of the closure disc being adapted to deflect downward and inward in response to a cryogenic thermal gradient applied across the lip.
Abstract:
A relay includes a balance plug, a vent passage, and a flow passage. The first passage fluidly coupled to the balance plug and the vent passage.
Abstract:
A fuel dispenser including a dispenser manager for controlling electronic functions of a fuel dispenser, display, user interface and controller are coupled to the dispenser manager. The controller controls fuel dispensing components of the fuel dispenser coupled to the dispenser manager. A point-of-sale module is associated with the dispenser manager for providing point-of-sale functionalities within the fuel dispenser.
Abstract:
A compact, portable and NIST traceable pressure source dynamically generates very low pressures includes at least one adjustable valves in-line with a fluid, such as air, flowing through the valve. A differential pressure is created across a pressure control device downstream from the valve. The differential pressure varies depending on the volume of the gas flow and the amount of resistance to the gas flow. The pressure generating device utilizes a miniature pump to create a pressure, or, alternatively, a vacuum, that causes gas flow. The pressure generating device is compact and capable of providing a very low and stable differential pressure by using a dynamic flow that compensates for temperature changes and volume changes. The compact module may be configured as a plug-in module for existing handheld calibrators for operator ease of use.
Abstract:
A multiproduct fuel dispenser for dispensing a plurality of fuels stored in a plurality of reservoir tanks comprising a nozzle for dispensing fuel, fuel delivery lines for delivering fuel from the plurality of reservoir tanks to the nozzle, and a common fuel meter operatively connected to the fuel delivery lines for quantifying the amount of fuel dispensed from the plurality of reservoir tanks, the common fuel meter having an internal volume no greater than 0.1 gallons.
Abstract:
A noise reduction device for use in a fluid flow system comprises a central section and an outer annular section. The outer annular section is designed to reduce the velocity of an annular fluid flow relative to a central core fluid flow. The central section of the device has a plurality of apertures, while the annular section has upstream apertures communicating with a pressure reduction chamber and downstream apertures. The upstream apertures of the annular section are smaller than, and off set from, the downstream apertures of an annular section to increase the pressure reduction and further reduce the velocity of the fluid flow in an annular section. A method is also described for reducing noise transmissions from a piping system wherein the fluid flow through the piping system is separated into an annular fluid flow and a core fluid flow, and the velocity of the annular fluid flow is reduced relative to the core fluid flow.
Abstract:
A fuel dispensing system that permits consumers to purchase fuel using a cash equivalent that is representative of monies owed to the consumers due to past overpayments for fuel.

Abstract:
According to one illustrative embodiment, a standalone computer system having a password maintenance capability includes an operating system, a password generator, and a password encryptor. The operating system is operable for executing a dedicated application. The password security generator couples with the operating system for generating a password in response to an occurrence of a prescribed password generation event, in connection with the operating system and the dedicated application. Lastly, the password encryptor couples to the password generator for producing a coded password as a function of the generated password.
