Abstract: The invention discloses synergistic combinations of surfactants blends and cleaning composition. In certain embodiments a surfactant system is disclosed which includes extended anionic surfactants, linker surfactants, and a multiply charged cation component. This system forms emulsions with, and can remove greasy and oily stains, even those comprised of non-trans fats. The compositions may be used alone, as a pre-spotter or other pre-treatment or as a part of a soft surface or hard surface cleaning composition.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to rinse aid compositions and methods for making and using the rinse aid compositions. The compositions of the invention include a sheeting agent, a defoaming agent, and an association disruption agent. The rinse aid compositions of the present invention result in a faster draining/drying time on most substrates compared to conventional rinse aids. The rinse aid compositions of the present invention are especially suitable for use on plastic substrates.

Abstract: Compositions are disclosed that include PEG-modified triglycerides as a surfactant. The mixtures form stable microemulsions with oils and fatty acids which can be the resultant product, such as lubricants, sunscreens, or triglyceride-based products. These emulsions or microemulsions are stable, irreversible, and can be created at low temperature. These can be used in detergents, rinse aids and the like to form microemulsions to remove oils and greasy soils, such as non-trans fats and fatty acids from substrates/surfaces often without the need for linker or other cosurfactants. Methods of making the compositions/microemulsions are included as well as uses thereof.

Abstract: Solid rinsing, cleaning and/or sanitizing compositions for various applications are provided. In particular, solid compositions include a complex of urea and an acid having desirable storage stability previously unavailable in solid urea/acid compositions. Stable solid compositions are disclosed and methods of making the same to overcome conventional limitations associated with forming kinetically and thermodynamically stable solids that utilize urea/acid compositions.

Abstract: The invention provides activated or inactivated compositions combining quaternary ammonium compounds and anionic surfactants or acids. The invention further provides activated or inactivated compositions combining quaternary ammonium compounds and anionic chelants or polymers. Activated antimicrobial compositions comprised of a quaternary ammonium compound having less than a C20 chain length, and an anionic carboxylate surfactant having C6-C10 chain length are disclosed. Activated compositions of the invention have a pH of between about 1 and 7 and are substantially free of silanes, sulfates and oxidants. Inactivated antimicrobial compositions comprised of a quaternary ammonium compound having less than a C-20 chain length, and an anionic sulfate or sulfonate surfactant are disclosed. Compositions of the invention have a 10 mole to 1 moles ratio of quaternary ammonium compound to anionic surfactant or about 1 mole to 10 moles ratio. Methods of making and employing the compositions are disclosed.

Abstract: Alkaline sprayable aqueous compositions for cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting are disclosed. In particular, the sprayable compositions include an alkali soluble emulsion polymer, an alkalinity source, a foaming agent, and water. Beneficially, the sprayable cleaning compositions have reduced misting and are environmentally safe for users to apply. Further the compositions exhibit less running on non-horizontal surfaces than acrylamide-based compositions.
