    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may support dual connectivity. That is, the UE may establish communications with a master node and a secondary node of a wireless communications network. The master node may correspond to a master cell group (MCG) and the secondary node may correspond to a secondary cell group (SCG). In some examples, as described herein, the UE operating in dual connectivity may collect data for optimization of the wireless communications network or upon detecting a failure associated with the master cell group or the SCG and transmit the collected data to a network entity (e.g., one of the master node or the secondary node), where the collected data is based on the SCG being in a deactivated state. In some examples, upon receiving the collected data, the network entity may attempt to recover from the failure.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may determine that its operating temperature exceeds an overheating condition threshold temperature, reducing overall device performance. To address the overheating condition, the UE may transmit an uplink control message containing UE assistance information to request a reconfiguration of one or more measurement parameters. In some cases, the UE may request to reduce one or more measurements associated with radio resource management (RRM). The UE may receive a downlink control message from a base station which indicates a reconfiguration of the measurement parameters, and the UE may implement the reconfiguration to mitigate the overheating.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques that allow the user equipment (UE) that initiated single radio voice call continuity (SRVCC) handover during an active voice session from 5G new radio (NR) to 3G legacy system to effectively transition back from 3G legacy systems to 5G NR systems after conclusion of the active voice session. In one example, the UE may override radio resource control (RRC) connection release with evolved universal terrestrial radio access network (E-UTRAN) frequency information that may direct the UE to camp in E-UTRAN cell (LTE cell). In another example, the UE, as a local policy or configuration, may override the UTRAN cell information when the UE is registered in next generation radio access network (NR) cell as 5G capable UE.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to mobility with consideration for network slicing are provided. In one embodiment, a user equipment (UE) transmits in a first cell frequency of a network, a request for a network slice of the network that is not provided by the first cell frequency. The UE receives, in response to the request, an information for communicating in a second cell frequency of the network that provides the requested network slice. In one embodiment, a core network entity receives, from a network entity operating over a first cell frequency of a network, a request to provide a network slice of the network to a UE, the network slice not provided by the first cell frequency. The core network entity transmits, to the BS, information associated with a second cell frequency of the network providing the network slice.
