Abstract: A system described herein may receive traffic throughput metrics and energy consumption metrics associated with one or more elements of a wireless network, and compute granular (e.g., per-network slice, per-network element, per-protocol, per-layer, etc.) measures of energy efficiency associated with the one or more one or more elements. The system may determine network parameter modifications based on the granular measures of energy efficiency, and/or provide such measures of energy efficiency to the one or more network elements, which may grant access to UEs 109 based on the granular measures of energy efficiency. The one or more network elements may make network parameter modifications based on the granular measures of energy efficiency, such as activating “sleep” or “suspend” modes, and/or otherwise performing energy saving techniques.

The mobile edge computing handover service includes managing the provisioning of the application or service, content, and context information in relation to a source mobile edge computing network and the target mobile edge computing network.

Abstract: A method may include receiving, at a first wireless station, first data wirelessly transmitted from first user equipment (UE) devices, wherein the first data includes quality of service (QoS) information, and forwarding the first data from the first UE devices to a second wireless station, wherein the first wireless station does not map the QoS information included with the first data. The method also includes receiving, by the second wireless station, the first data and second data transmitted from second UE devices, wherein the second data includes QoS information. The method may further include forwarding, by the second wireless station, the first and second data to a third wireless station, wherein the second wireless station does not map the QoS information included in the first or second data, and wherein the third wireless station is configured to forward the first and second data via a backhaul network.

The MEC device performs functions associated with an application being executed by the user device and the MEC device is co-located with the RAN device. The MEC device receives second parameters associated with the user device from a core network device. The MEC device modifies performance of the functions based on the received first and second parameters and provides third parameters associated with the user device to a second RAN device that is co-located with the MEC device for adjusting performance of a network.

Abstract: A system described herein may provide a technique for enhanced authentication techniques that leverage network-based location determination of UEs, such as mobile telephones or other devices that communicate with a wireless network. For example, a wireless network may monitor, determine, or otherwise maintain information regarding the geographic location of User Equipment (“UEs”) that are associated with the wireless network. Some embodiments may utilize such network-monitored location information to verify that a participant device, associated with a given UE, is located within a particular proximity of the UE when performing an authentication process to receive services or resources.

Abstract: A system described herein may provide a technique for the discovery and connection of Mesh Distributed Units (“MDUs”), which may establish a mesh topology and perform wireless backhaul of data between a core network and a User Equipment (“UE”). Multiple MDUs in an MDU network may be connected to establish an MDU route. One or more connected MDUs may broadcast an indication that the MDU is available to connect, one or more performance metrics, or an MDU performance score based on performance metrics. This broadcast may iteratively repeat in order to refine the mesh network topology in an ongoing process.

Abstract: A computer device may include a memory storing instructions and processor configured to execute the instructions to generate a Radio Access Network (RAN) slice in a Fifth Generation (5G) New Radio (NR) base station designated for a particular type of service; determine requirements associated with the generated RAN slice; and reserve resources of the 5G NR base station for the generated RAN slice, wherein reserving the resources includes specifying one or more antenna beams generated by the 5G NR base station. The processor may be further configured to obtain criteria for categorizing user equipment (UE) device sessions as belonging to the generated RAN slice; identify UE device sessions as belonging to the RAN slice based on the obtained criteria; and apply the determined requirements to the identified UE device session using the reserved resources.
