Abstract:
The subject disclosure is directed towards securing electronic commercial activity. Geo-locations are determined for one Internet transaction and another Internet transaction. These Internet transactions are related based on a common credential. Using timestamps, a relative travel speed between the geo-locations is computed for the Internet transaction and the other Internet transaction. Based upon the relative travel speed, a security component may invalidate the Internet transaction and/or the other Internet transaction.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques for constructing a long training field (LTF) sequence in a preamble to reduce a peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) at a transmitter.
Abstract:
The embodiments described herein relate to web service client/server systems. According to some embodiments, there is provided a web service system including at least one client processor adapted to generate and transmit at least one piped request comprising a plurality of discrete requests and at least one server processor in data communication with the client processor. The at least one server processor is adapted to receive the at least one piped request comprising the discrete requests, de-pipe each discrete request from the piped request and execute each discrete request to generate a result associated with the discrete request.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for providing coverage to a first cell through a first antenna system and coverage to a second cell through a second antenna system. Data is also processed for transmission to a mobile device in the first cell using the first and second antenna systems.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and computer program products for remote configuration of one or more power supplies, particularly lighting power supplies, are disclosed. A configuration signal that includes a setting for a parameter is generated and then transmitted to a power supply. The power supply decodes the configuration signal and, if one or more certain conditions are met, configures the power supply according to information provided in the configuration signal.
Abstract:
A securing device includes a securing member defining a securing hole therein, and a fastener extending through the securing hole. The fastener includes a spring, and a bolt having a main portion, a bottom fixing portion, and a top head portion. The securing hole includes a large portion, a small portion, and a concave around the small portion. A diameter of the small portion is greater than the main portion and smaller than the fixing portion. A diameter of the large portion is greater than the fixing portion and smaller than the spring. The main portion extends through the small portion with the fixing portion tightly abutting the securing member. The spring is mounted around the main portion and received in the concave. The spring is compressed between the head portion and a step of the securing member in the concave.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of medical imaging. More particularly, embodiments of the invention relate to methods, systems, and devices for imaging, including for tomography-based applications. Embodiments of the invention include, for example, a computed tomography based imaging system comprising: (a) at least one wide-beam gray-scale imaging chain capable of performing a global scan of an object and acquiring projection data relating to the object; (b) at least one narrow-beam true-color imaging chain capable of performing a spectral interior scan of a region of interest (ROI) of and acquiring projection data relating to the object; (c) a processing module operably configured for: (1) receiving the projection data; (2) reconstructing the ROI into an image by analyzing the data with a color interior tomography algorithm, aided by an individualized gray-scale reconstruction of an entire field of view (FOV), including the ROI; and (d) a processor for executing the processing module. The extended interior methods and systems for spectral, optical, and photoacoustic imaging presented in this application can lead to better medical diagnoses by providing images with higher resolution or quality, and can lead to safer procedures by providing systems capable of reducing a patient's exposure time to, and thus quantity of, potentially harmful x-rays. Embodiments of the invention also provide tools for real-time tomography-based analyses.
Abstract:
A heat dissipation device includes a heat sink and a cooling fan arranged thereon. The cooling fan includes a motor-stator and an impeller mounted around the motor-stator. The motor-stator is arranged on a middle of the heat sink. The heat sink includes a base and a plurality of fins extending upwardly from the base. The heat sink defines a plurality of notches incising the fins. The notches are angled towards the middle of the heat sink immediately under the motor-stator of the cooling fan.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques for constructing a training sequence as a part of transmission preamble in an effort to minimize (or at least reduce) a peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) at a transmitting node.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure present a technique for enabling a receiver to detect mode of transmission of a signal based on a common field transmitted to all the receivers. The proposed technique includes frame structure in which information about the transmission mode is transmitted in a first portion of a SIG field to all the receivers.
