    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communication. A transmitting device may send a signal including multiple transport blocks corresponding to multiple simultaneous hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processes. Additional control information may be used to support the multiple simultaneous HARQ processes. For instance, the additional control information may indicate the number of available HARQ processes, an activity state for each HARQ process (e.g., active new data, active retransmission, or inactive), and the redundancy versions of each HARQ process. In some cases, the additional control information may be included in a downlink grant. A receiving device may respond with an acknowledgement or negative acknowledgment (ACK/NACK) for each of the transport blocks. The transmitting device may identify a retransmission status for each HARQ process based on the ACK/NACKs, and transmit new redundancy versions (or new data) to the receiving device.

    Abstract: A base station may determine a Doppler metric associated with a wireless channel and a user equipment (UE). The Doppler metric may be determined from received information related to Doppler effects measured by the UE or from directly measured Doppler effects associated with uplink data received from the UE. Based on the determined Doppler metric, the base station may select one or both of a reference signal (RS) density and a channel estimation technique for the wireless channel and associated UE. The base station may transmit an indication of the RS density to the UE. Downlink data bursts and uplink data bursts may include RSs and data according to the indicated RS density. Further, the base station may transmit to the UE, an indication to communicate using the selected wireless channel estimation technique.

    Abstract: A control channel transmission may include information for downlink transmissions, and another control channel, such as a physical micro sleep indicator channel (PMSICH), may include information for uplink transmissions that a user equipment (UE) may use to enter a power-saving micro sleep state. A base station may drop PMSICH transmissions in the event that downlink resources are constrained. A UE that receives a PMSICH transmission may determine an uplink transmission duration, and enter a micro sleep state for all or a portion of the uplink transmission duration.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A first wireless device may receive a clear to send signal based precoded based at least in part on a receive filter at a second wireless device. The first wireless device may calculate a transmit precoder based at least in part on the clear to send signal. For example, the first wireless device may calculate a whitening filter and a second filter based at least in part on the clear to send signal. The first wireless device may transmit a request to send signal precoded by the transmit precoder to initiate communications with a third wireless device without significantly interfering with ongoing communications at the second wireless device.

    Abstract: Reference signal and transmitter (Tx)/receiver (Rx) precoding for user equipment (UE) multiplexing in new radio (NR) shared spectrum networks is discussed. In certain reference signals, a base station may schedule multiple UEs for transmission of uplink reference signals within an identified subframe. The base station may transmit a reference signal configuration message, wherein the reference signal configuration message includes a transmission sequence identifier identifying a multiplexing for antenna ports assigned for transmission of the uplink reference signals. The multiplexing may be one or both of frequency divisional multiplexing (FDM) and time division multiplexing (TDM) over the identified subframe. Additional reference signals, transmit precoders may be identified by the base station based on channel inversion calculations of the channel matrix determined based on uplink reference signals.

    Abstract: Cross-operator, cross-link adjacent channel interference with dynamic time division duplex (TDD) is discussed. For a network environment with co-site base stations, base stations attempting to switch the default direction to downlink may monitor for uplink reservations signals transmitted between the neighboring base stations in various ways. For example, the co-site base station may only monitor for an uplink reservation signal on its own channel or may attempt to monitor for the reservation signal in its own channel and adjacent channels. The adjacent base stations may transmit reservation signals in their own channel and the adjacent channels, so that the co-site base station would monitor for the communication intention by monitoring its own channel. Further, each network operator may be assigned a specific symbol location for the reservation signals. Still other aspects provide the neighboring base stations from different operators to pool the channels and transmit according to a shared spectrum.
