摘要： A capacitive gesture recognition book includes a plurality of capacitive sensors concealed in a base cover of the book. The capacitive sensors detect changes in capacitance brought on by a finger of a user coming in proximity with the capacitive sensor. A processor located in the base cover includes a plurality of capacitive activation sequences and a plurality of corresponding responses stored therein. Upon detection of a stored capacitive activation sequence, the processor initiates activation of the corresponding response which may be playback of an audio file. The book includes a plurality of pages that contain graphics and/or words for a storyline. The graphics can include images intended to direct a user of a desired motion to be made that corresponds with activation of sensors in a manner stored as a capacitive activation sequence.

摘要： A system for generating and displaying holographic visual aids associated with a story to an end user of a head-mounted display device while the end user is reading the story or perceiving the story being read aloud is described. The story may be embodied within a reading object (e.g., a book) in which words of the story may be displayed to the end user. The holographic visual aids may include a predefined character animation that is synchronized to a portion of the story corresponding with the character being animated. A reading pace of a portion of the story may be used to control the playback speed of the predefined character animation in real-time such that the character is perceived to be lip-syncing the story being read aloud. In some cases, an existing book without predetermined AR tags may be augmented with holographic visual aids.

摘要： An audiovisual recording of a user reading a book aloud is generated for playback with a virtual book. A book reading user interface presents a virtual book concurrently with a current image of the user. The virtual book may be presented based at least in part on an aspect ratio of the virtual book. As the user reads the virtual book aloud, an audiovisual recording of the user is generated. In addition, synchronization information is recorded that enables the audiovisual recording to be synchronized with the presentation of pages of the virtual book during playback. The generated audiovisual recording is stored in a database and may be played back to a recipient on demand.
