Abstract: Embodiments may relate to group addressed frame delivery over multi-link systems. Systems and methods are configured for identifying, by an access point (AP) multilink device (MLD) in a wireless network, a first sequence number space (SNS) that is to be used by the AP MLD to transmit data to a non-AP MLD over a first communications link and a second communications link, wherein frames with identical data that are transmitted over the first and second communications links will have an identical first SN based on the first SNS; identifying, by the MLD in the wireless network, the first SN based on the first SNS; and transmitting, by the AP MLD in the wireless network, a frame that includes the data to the non-AP MLD based on the first SN.

Abstract: Some embodiments include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for access point (AP) power save enhancements. AP power save enhancements reduce power consumption for APs including multi-link device (MLD) APs, mobile APs and mobile AP stations. Some embodiments include an uplink (UL) multi-user (MU)-Request to Send (RTS) power save feature, that allows an AP to be available while operating in a low power receive (LPR) state (e.g., low power mode) and transition to a full power mode to receive data using a bandwidth greater than 20 MHz. Some embodiments include a Target Wake Time (TWT) UL MU-RTS AP power enhancement feature that allows an AP to operate in the LPR during a TWT service period (SP). Some embodiments allow mobile devices (e.g., a smart phone) to operate in as an AP (e.g., a mobile AP, a mobile AP station) and reduce power consumption.

Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatuses for managing roaming by access points (AP), a controller, and a wireless device are described. The wireless device may indicate intent to roam from a source AP to a target AP. The wireless device, APs, and controller may adjust buffering in anticipation of the change. The wireless device, APs, and controller may deliver buffered data via the target AP following a successful change from the source AP.

Abstract: An electronic device (such as an access point) that receives a modified response frame is described. During operation, an interface circuit in the electronic device may provide a trigger frame addressed to a second electronic device, where the trigger frame includes a trigger-frame variant that is compatible with an IEEE 802.11 standard (such as IEEE 802.11ax or a subsequent IEEE 802.11 standard). Then, the interface circuit may receive a modified response frame associated with the second electronic device, where the modified response frame is different from a response frame associated with the trigger frame specified by the IEEE 802.11 standard. When the second electronic device indicates support for the modified response frame during association with the electronic device, the interface circuit may define parameters associated with the modified response frame in an association response.
