Abstract:
A method for controlling a cell state corresponding to whether to transmit a signal, on a subframe basis by an evolved Node B (eNB) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes determining a cell state of at least one subframe included in each of an N-th frame and an (N−1)-th frame, and at the start of the N-th frame, transmitting to a user equipment (UE), information about cell states of all subframes belonging to the N-th frame and information about cell states of all subframes belonging to the (N−1)-th frame.

A method of transmitting paging in a wireless communication network is provided. The method includes transmitting a plurality of paging channels using a plurality of distinct transmitting (TX) beams in a paging available interval by a paging transmitter (PT), each of the plurality of paging channels comprising same paging information; and transmitting a plurality of synchronization channels (SCHs) and/or broadcast channels (BCHs) using a plurality of distinct TX beams, each of the plurality of SCHs comprising a synchronization sequence, and each of the plurality of BCHs comprising system parameters, wherein the TX beams are transmitted in one or more time durations through one or more antenna arrays.
Abstract:
The various embodiments of the present invention disclose a method and system for performing Hybrid Repeat Request (HARQ) in cellular operations over unlicensed bands. The method comprises of checking, by an eNodeB (eNB), whether an unlicensed channel is occupied by a User Equipment (UE), initiating transmission of Redundancy Versions (RVs) corresponding to a HARQ process on the unlicensed channel if the unlicensed channel is occupied by the UE, verifying if a channel occupancy period is over and an acknowledgement for the HARQ process is received from the unlicensed channel and initiating a Redundancy Version (RV) bundling for retransmission of the bundled RVs without awaiting an acknowledgment for the HARQ process from the unlicensed channel, if the channel occupancy period is not over.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and system for performing Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) operation in an asymmetric multicarrier communication network environment. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving resource allocation information from a base station. The method also includes transmitting the HARQ packet to the base station in a transmit time interval (TTI) corresponding a first or second partition of an uplink allocation interval on a second carrier. The method further includes receiving HARQ feedback information corresponding to a previous HARQ packet transmission. Furthermore, the method includes determining a TTI in a subsequent uplink allocation interval based on the partition of the uplink allocation interval in which the HARQ packet is transmitted if the HARQ feedback information indicates negative acknowledgement. Moreover, the method includes transmitting the HARQ packet to the base station in the determined transmit time interval of the subsequent uplink allocation interval on the second carrier.

Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and apparatus for performing an uplink Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) operation in an asymmetric multicarrier communication network environment. In one embodiment, a method includes transmitting a HARQ packet to a base station in a transmit time interval of one of a plurality of partitions of an uplink allocation interval on a first carrier by a mobile station. Then, the method includes determining a partition of the uplink allocation interval in which the HARQ packet is transmitted, and determining a HARQ feedback region in the subsequent downlink subframe corresponding to the determined partition. The method further includes receiving HARQ feedback information in the determined HARQ feedback region in the subsequent downlink subframe on a second carrier from the base station.
Abstract:
A method and system for acquiring mmWave carrier in a wireless communication network is disclosed. In one embodiment, an MS acquires a low frequency carrier and then acquires the high frequency carrier. Since the low frequency carrier and the high frequency carrier are transmitted by same BS, the BS provides assistance information on the acquired low frequency carrier to the MS to acquire a synchronization signal which is transmitted on a high frequency carrier using beamforming. The assistance information includes synchronization signal beam time slots, synchronization signal beams which the MS needs to search, beam ID and so on. Based on the assistance information, the MS monitors the high frequency carrier to search and acquire the synchronization beam signal transmitted on the high frequency carrier. The MS determines the beam ID of the received synchronization beam signal and reports to the BS on the low frequency carrier.
Abstract:
A method and a system for assigning a unique logical address to a mobile station in a cloud cell are provided. The method includes selecting, by the master base station, a unique logical address from an associated set of addresses, wherein the set of addresses is a subset of a common address space, and assigning the unique logical address to the mobile station so that the mobile station and each of the plurality of base stations communicate in the cloud cell using the assigned unique logical address.
