An object of the present invention is to provide an environmentally friendly drilling fluid that has excellent cuttings transport capability and excellent hole cleaning capability. A drilling fluid according to the present disclosure is a drilling fluid containing water, biodegradable fibers, and a thickener. The thickener contains a biodegradable polysaccharide. The content of the biodegradable polysaccharide in the drilling fluid is greater than or equal to 0.01 g/L and less than or equal to 5 g/L.

Provided is a method of manufacturing a metal nano coil which is suitable for mass production and results in a lower manufacturing cost. The method of manufacturing a metal nano coil includes the steps of: forming, with tension applied to a core member composed of nanofiber of a polymer, a metal thin film on a surface of the core member to fabricate a metal-covered nanofiber; reducing the tension of the metal-covered nanofiber; and heating, with the tension reduced, the metal-covered nanofiber to at or above a boiling point or a thermal decomposition temperature of the polymer and at or below the melting point of the metal thin film to vaporize the core member and shrink the metal thin film into a coil form, so that a hollow metal nano coil is produced.

A swing analysis device for analyzing a swing of a ball hitting tool includes: an information input unit configured to receive input of acceleration information and angular velocity information detected by a sensor attached to the ball hitting tool; a posture calculation unit configured to calculate posture information of the ball hitting tool in the swing by applying a predetermined filter to the acceleration information and the angular velocity information; a correction unit configured to correct the posture information of the ball hitting tool in the swing based on the posture information of the ball hitting tool at a first time in the swing; and a swing information calculation unit configured to calculate a swing trajectory of the ball hitting tool based on the acceleration information and the posture information of the ball hitting tool corrected by the correction unit.

A separation and recovery method that enables titanium and tungsten to be separated and recovered from a used DeNOx catalyst in high yield. Specifically, a method of separating and recovering metal elements that includes a first heating step of heating a DeNOx catalyst containing titanium, tungsten, vanadium and iron in a chlorine atmosphere, thereby removing the vanadium and the iron from the DeNOx catalyst, and a second heating step, performed after the first heating step, of heating the DeNOx catalyst in a chlorine atmosphere while the catalyst is exposed to a gas of a hydrocarbon compound (excluding CH4) or an oxygen-containing carbon compound, thereby volatilizing the tungsten and the titanium from the DeNOx catalyst, and recovering the tungsten and the titanium from the DeNOx catalyst.
