    摘要: A broadcast receiver and method of providing a preferred channel thereof are disclosed. The present invention includes receiving a program of the preferred channel (52) set by a user among a plurality of broadcast channels, transforming an image of the received program of the preferred channel into a reduced image (54) and storing the reduced image per the preferred channel. Accordingly, when a turn-on mode of the broadcast receiver is switched to a turn-off mode (56) of the broadcast receiver, when a turn-off mode (56) of the broadcast receiver is switched to a turn-on mode of the broadcast receiver, or when a display of a preferred channel is requested in a turned-on mode, a per preferred channel reduced image is displayed as OSD (60) on a currently viewed image. So, a user is facilitated to recognize and select a program received on the preferred channel without blocking the currently viewed image.

The method includes placing a pickup at a first zone on the optical recording medium, the first zone located between an outer radius of a first recording medium type and an outer radius of a second recording medium type, where the outer radius of the second recording medium type is larger than the outer radius of the first recording medium type; detecting a reflected signal based on a returned beam from the first zone of the optical recording medium; and determining at least one of a size and an absence of the optical recording medium based on the detected reflected signal. Therefore, an FG sensor that is provided in a general disk device can be eliminated, thereby reducing the size and cost of a disk device.

    摘要: Provided is an IV flow controller which adjusts the amount of an IV material supplied to a patient through an IV tube and to which a flushing feature is added. The IV controller according to the present invention includes: a first body unit, a second body unit, a fixed roller, and a driving roller. The fixed roller is fixedly and rotatably arranged, and has a first gear unit and a second gear unit. The driving roller is accommodated such that a portion thereof is exposed, and the driving roller is moved along the lengthwise direction while controlling the flow of the IV when the exposed portion is turned. Also, in the flushing position, the driving roller rotates in cooperation with the first gear unit of the fixed roller across the IV tube so as to flush the latter. The second gear unit of the fixed roller may be configured so as to have a ratchet gear, and the second body unit has a pawl which meshes with the ratchet gear of the fixed roller in order to prevent reverse rotation. According to the present invention, flushing in the reverse direction is prevented by the ratchet gear, and thus medical accidents caused by reverse flushing can be prevented.
