Abstract:
In order to that stress generated within a resin can be suppressed and cracking in the resin can be prevented, an ink jet recording head comprising a substrate; a resin body, which defines an ink discharge section, formed on the substrate; and a heating resistor provided on the substrate, an ink chamber being formed between the heating resistor and the ink discharge section, the resin body being dug down along the ink chamber, is provided.
Abstract:
There are provided a structure of an ink-jet recording head comprising a substrate; a first conductive layer provided on the substrate; an insulating layer provided on the first conductive layer; a second conductive layer formed on the insulting layer and coming into contact with the first conductive layer; and a heat generation layer disposed on the second conductive layer and having, on a surface thereof, a self-oxidized protective film as an ink-contact interface, in order that metal conductive layer material having excellent energy efficiency and typified as aluminum, which is generally used as semiconductor material, can be used.
Abstract:
In an automotive engine exhaust pipe having a main flow passage and a bypass flow passage, the exhaust gas flows through the bypass flow passage having an heater-provided catalyst when an engine starts. After a main catalyst reaches a catalytic activation temperature, a switching valve switches the exhaust gas to flow through the main flow passage. The main shaft is divided into a driven shaft inserted into a bearing hole and a driving shaft inserted into another bearing hole, and therefore, a total length thereof in an axial direction is shorter than a length of the main shaft without having segments. Therefore, even though the driven shaft and the driving shaft are deformed into the arch shape, a deformation amount thereof is reduced so that inner peripheries of the bearing holes are not rubbed against the shafts. Since the driving shaft is smaller in diameter than the driven shaft, even though a cross section of the driving shaft is elliptically strained, the inner periphery of the bearing hole is not rubbed against the driving shaft. As a result, since a clearance between the driving shaft and the bearing hole can be narrowed, the exhaust gas from the clearance can be prevented from leaking.

A compound semiconductor device includes: an Au alloy electrode, an interlayer insulating film, a metal interconnection, and an oxide film. The Au alloy electrode is formed on a compound semiconductor. The interlayer insulating film is formed on the Au alloy electrode. The metal interconnection is connected to the Au alloy electrode via a contact hole formed in the interlayer insulating film. The oxide film is formed at an interface between the Au alloy electrode and the interlayer insulating film, dominating component of the oxide film is a constituent element of the compound semiconductor.

A liquid droplet ejecting head including a piezoelectric element substrate including a diaphragm and a piezoelectric element; a liquid pool chamber that pools liquid supplied to a pressure chamber and which is provided opposite a pressure chamber filled with liquid with the piezoelectric element substrate placed in between; an upper substrate arranged so as to separate the liquid pool chamber and the piezoelectric element substrate with the piezoelectric element substrate between with a through port for supplying liquid to the pressure chamber from the liquid pool chamber formed therein; a driver that is mounted on the upper substrate and which drives the piezoelectric element; a connecting component arranged between the opposite upper substrate and the piezoelectric element substrate and which electrically connects this upper substrate to the piezoelectric element.
Abstract:
A fuel cell stack has plural fuel cells stacked in series along a direction vertical to a main surface of each fuel cell. Each fuel cell has a lamination body made of an anode, a cathode, and a polymer proton exchange membrane. The lamination body is sandwiched between a pair of separators. Each of the anode and cathode has a catalyst layer and a diffusion layer laminated. A water collecting groove and fuel gas passages are formed in the inner surface of each separator. The bottom end of the water collection groove is lower in position than the end of the catalyst layer and the diffusion layer. The water collecting groove is not joined to the fuel gas passages and collects water produced by electrochemical reaction in each fuel cell, and drains the collected water.
Abstract:
A change-over valve unit has a change-over valve for switching a bypass passage and an exhausting passage disposed in parallel therewith. An adsorbent is disposed in the bypass passage to adsorb exhaust components. An actuator of the change-over valve is isolated from an adsorption cylinder by a pedestal. Furthermore, rotary shafts of the control mechanism of the change-over valve are positioned within the bypass passage of the adsorber when the change-over valve is positioned to open the main exhaust passage. Thus, the heat of the exhaust gas flowing through the main exhaust passage is not transmitted to the rotary shafts.
