摘要: In response to reception of a login request for the trade-in service, a Web server sends a login window to the client computer of a customer via the Internet (step S300). The login window has a trade-in ID input box, a mail address input box, and a ‘Login’ button. After entering a trade-in ID and a mail address into the boxes, the customer clicks the login button. The Web server receives the entries of the trade-in ID and the mail address and determines successful or failed authentication (step S304). In the case of successful authentication, the Web server determines whether preset days have elapsed since the date of purchase order to determine whether the current time is within an allowable trade-in period (step S306). In the case of the current time is within the trade-in period and prior to trade-in reception, the Web server executes a trade-in reception routine (step S314).

摘要: Radiation detectors are disclosed that include at least one element (pixel). In a pixel, a desired positional relationship between two “effecting” elements is maintained regardless of changes in temperature or other prevailing variable. The detectors can be “electrical capacitance” or “optical-readout” types. A pixel of the electrical capacitance type includes two electrodes (reference electrode and response electrode) that face each other and have a set gap therebetween. The electrodes are attached to respective displaceable members (configured as thermal bimorphs) having identical structures. A pixel of the optical readout type includes a half-mirror and a reflector that face each other and have a set gap therebetween. The half-mirror and reflector are attached to respective displaceable members. Radiation is absorbed by a radiation absorber that transfers the heat to certain displaceable members that bend to tilt accordingly. Other displaceable members are not heated and do not bend. The displaceable members are formable simultaneously during respective fabrication steps.

摘要: A frequency mixer or converter which is applicable for use in superheterodyne radio frequency signal receivers and has good linearity characteristics as well as a low noise characteristic. The mixer utilizes a balanced transistor pair arrangement with an RC highpass filter but does not use a differential amplifier for amplifying the radio frequency signals. This results in a mixer having good low noise characteristics and good linearity as well as high attenuation of spurious intermediate frequency signals. In addition, the design is amenable to fabrication by integrated circuit technology.

摘要: An image forming apparatus includes: a PDL analyzing unit that analyzes print data and obtains a drawing condition; a drawing unit that uses a type of dither selected from types of dither, prepared and associated with drawing conditions, according to the drawing condition analyzed, and generates output image data; an image forming unit; a fixing unit that fixes an image formed on a recording sheet by heating the image to a fixing temperature; a fixing control unit that controls the fixing temperature to a target value; and a database in which each of the types of dither is associated with the target value of fixing temperature for power saving. The fixing control unit obtains from the database the target value of fixing temperature corresponding to the type of dither used in the drawing unit and carries out control to conduct fixing at the target value thus obtained.

摘要: An order data obtaining device displays a list of components on a Web page, and recognizes components selected on the Web page, thereby obtaining order data of a product that is formed of a plurality of components. A turnaround time display control device obtains turn-around time information of each of the components selected on the Web page, and displays on the Web page the longest turn-around time in the turn-around time information as a turn-around time of the product. An accurate turn-around time is calculated in accordance with the selection of components, and a customer is immediately notified of the accurate turn-around time of the product. Thus, loss of competitiveness in the market due to display of a turn-around time being fixed and too long because of its inclusion of leeway is prevented. In addition, since an accurate turn-around time notification is immediately provided to the customer, customer notification of the turn-around time and handling of queries over the phone regarding turn-around time can be reduced, thereby reducing management cost.
