The invention relates to a heating device of a motor vehicle comprising an internal combustion engine (2) and a vehicle interior. Said heating device encompasses a cooling circuit (1) for cooling the internal combustion engine (2), a heating circuit (6) that is provided with at least one heating element (7) and is used for heating the vehicle interior, and an additional electric heater, especially an auxiliary PTC heating unit (8). According to the invention, a heat source can be connected to the cooling circuit and/or the heating circuit (6) as a second supplementary heater (9).

The invention relates to a gas intake zone of a separable gas filter housing which removably accommodates a filter element. The gas intake zone is used as a prefilter and comprises a plurality of axially adjacent, axially impinged cyclone collectors that are provided with respective spin generators in the inlet zones thereof and gas-discharging immersion tubes at the discharge end within annular ducts which are located between the immersion tubes and the respectively associated outer cyclone walls while being used for pre-separating dirt particles separated in an outer radial direction in the individual cyclones by means of centrifugal forces, the immersion tubes being axially dipped into the interior of the cyclone collectors. The aim of the invention is to be able to efficiently produce the gas intake zone while especially making the same easy to clean. The aim is achieved by a prefilter which is characterized in that all cyclones are composed of a unit encompassing three areas, i.e. a first area that is monolithically molded into the filter housing and is fitted with first partial spin-generating elements, a second area that is embodied as an inserted part and is provided with second partial spin-generating elements which adjoin the first partial spin-generating elements in the direction of flow and form the spin generators along with the first partial spin-generating elements, and hollow cylindrical ducts located downstream from the spin generators, as well as a third area that is also embodied as an insertable part, contains the immersion tubes, and is equipped with a bottom which encloses the immersion tubes so as to form a dirt particle collection chamber within the filter housing, the dirt particle collection chamber bordering the annular ducts of the cyclones.

The invention relates to a heat exchanger provided for heating purposes, particularly for a motor vehicle, comprising: a number of parallel pipes, at least one electric heating device (4), which is mounted each time between two adjacent pipes, and comprising a number of fin elements (5) situated between each pair of adjacent pipes and between each heating device (4) and the pipes adjacent thereto. In order to be able to better control the power absorption of the heating devices (4), each heating device (4) comprises two separately controllable heating sections (6, 7).
